"I bought a car that was a shitbox at the time it came out because there's no innovation in cars these days."What's that John, you have a 2001 Audi TT that you don't know how to drive? Thanks for reminding me, I too was stabbed in the head at my previous job and have short-term memory loss as well, all because I was trying to protect my gay friend but sadly he got raped and died

I get buying older performance cars because it's hard to find affordable new performance cars, but Brianna bought an overpriced wheezer of a car that can most accurately be described as a designer handbag, not a performance car...
And of all the cars to buy to illustrate the point about lack of innovation...you bought a first gen audi TT? Okay I can see how that might work...if you got one with the DSG,
But you didn't buy one with the DSG, so we're back to square one.
Also what the fuck do you mean "innovation has all but ended"? I can't go 5 minutes without hearing about something cool that a car company did to make something better. Not too many years ago LASER HEADLIGHTS debuted at Le Mans and that quickly trickled down to Audis and BMWs as an option. Rear wheel steer that works properly has become a selling point on fucking HONDAS. It's hard to find performance cars from overseas that DON'T have DSGs. Suspension that you can adjust on the fly without breaking out hex keys and jacking the car up have become a feature on many cars. And have you seen the new hybrid hypercars? Those things are and continue to be masterworks of engine tuning innovation. Not all of it works well (see the new NSX) but that statement about lack of innovation is ridiculous on its face.
What I think Wu WANTS to say but can't find the words for it is what I call the "Corolla-ization" of cars. Most cars produced now all look like each other or something another company produced 5 years ago. That doesn't mean under the hood there's not a lot of neat stuff going on.
Edit:
Oh mother of fuck PLEASE BUY A TTRS.
Don't get me wrong, those cars are amazing.
But uh...you know if you buy one you basically have to move to a place where there's garages that will service them right? There aren't many places that do because that engine was a one off.[/sneed]
