I always wondered why he never combined the two big fake friend lies and just rhapsodize at length about how his LGBT Iraq War veteran friends faced death and disfigurement everyday yet could not express their sexuality until the Obemessiah freed them from the cis hetero shackles of the evil Don't Ask Don't Tell (of Hillary's husband)

Really, Wu? You left your "career" in DC primarily over the Iraq war and not, say, because you were addicted to prescription drugs and had to be checked in to rehab by your parents?

One day someone from the media is actually going to ask about her supposed former political career and press beyond the vague "fundraising" and "constituent services" answers she usually gives. I very much look forward to the pathetic truth coming out.

Also, only one week left to file those accounts with the FEC. I'm pretty sure they won't take any action over the statement of organisation failure, but antagonising them further is going to get Wu in serious trouble.

While it's pointless to go on about it now it's gone, DADT was a rubbish idea. Whatever possible risks there were of fraternisation didn't outweigh excluding a chunk of the population from service while deploying large numbers of men overseas.

It falls into the same place as people going on about segregation or racism against the Irish; it was bad, but it's not a relevant modern issue.

More expansively, John, like many lolcows, has political views that are trapped in amber, stuck at whatever point they developed while his fictional friends were being dismembered in fantasy Iraq. Donald Trump is many things, but he's not a typical Republican, and one of the reasons people are so agitated about him is that he represents a massive shift in the political order. Good or bad, we don't know yet. John is hardly the only person who doesn't know what to make of it, dealing with it by trying to force things into categories he understands ... but most people don't pretend to be political experts, running for Congress, all the while spouting nonsense that's rendered inoperative within six hours by developing headlines. And so all of us, whether we love Trump or hate him, whether we're left or right, can point and laugh at this gibbering stick insect in human form.

I wonder if he has any notion of what the Iraq casualty rates were for MA-8?

No, he campaigned on hatred of the "Syrians" flooding Europe and trying to flood the USA, not the ones still in Syria.

And the dead children moved him to military action, not accepting millions of refugees. See how the narrative is being shifted?

He campaigned on not accepting refugees. He also campaigned on not intervening in Syria. If she had half a brain, she would use the actual political fodder she has available.

I actually wasn't aware of the one drop rule or Homer Plessy, but I was referring to slaves brought to Jamacia who were subject to a sort of "tier list" that was basically white > mulatto > black with a few more inbetween. I guess this wasn't universial.
 
Brianna should have done her politics homework. President doesn't need to get Congress's permission to start a military action ever since the War Powers Act was written into law. Only Congress is allowed to declare war, but that's just semantics, since the US has not issued a declaration of war since 1941 and they've been bombing and invading people left and right since then with no constitutional obstacles.

The last US declarations of war were in 1942 against Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria.
 
I think Trump is going to be a disaster and even I can see that Trump going after Syria like this is at the very fucking least an attempt to change the facts on the ground and make it (eventually) unnecessary to deal with the refugee problem.

Attacking them if they attack civilians may just stop the attacks on civilians. So... it's giving Wu what she wants, and end to the refugee problem. But hey, so long as you can be angry then who cares?

It makes sense that John likes this movie. It's a highly stylizied yet has almost no plot or substance. All of the characters are pretty one demensional and empty. It's all hat and no cattle. Moreover, the main characters are all sassy gal pals who take on the evil man all while clad in combat fetish wear. Sound familiar? Yeah. Thought so. At least the movie had good art direction.

John is really a one trick pony. That trick, as we all well know, happens to be dressing up as a woman and making as big of of spectical of himself as possible while using the current political climate to force everyone around him to participate in the gruesome pantomime that is his fetish.

I don't know about "art direction", but I think it's absolute trash, just like Brianna Wu.

that eyesore was originally whipped up in an afternoon, yet still looks better than anything in Rev60.
and was never actually shown on-screen. it was just a background display in one episode of the show nobody watched.
