When you surround yourself with people who make a living out of claiming victim status and their associated sycophants, you break with the groupthink at your own peril.

Wu only had a finite amount of social capital to spend from gamergate, and all indications are it's pretty much gone.

Most people didn't know what Gamergate was, and the few that did mostly didn't care. It was never enough to sustain a Congressional campaign anyway.

Here is an article that is interesting in retrospect (It's from 2014.)

"I didn't get into this business to be an activist. I got into this business to make a lot of money."

Not that it's any surprise, but this makes it very clear that any of her ruminations about adding PoC and larger body types in Revolution 62 was financially motivated. If money we ren't involved she'd just spend her time endlessly pumping out content featuring her freakishly thin, idealized White Women.

I knew Wu was delusional, but I'm still legitimately stunned that she thinks a childish scribble of the personal Twitter room she wants if she gets into office is in any way endearing, or likely to leave a positive impression on voters.

I don't think I've ever seen any political candidate so utterly blind to the interests of the people they want to represent. Most people at least know enough about what their constituency wants to pay lip service to them, but Wu can't even pretend not to be a narcissistic ogress for long enough to do that much.

No, it's not a room she wants if she gets into office. It's a room she wants to spend other peoples' donations on so that she can produce content to get into office.

LET'S PLAY: Which of these people is (a) serious (b) trolling, or (c) masturbating every time John tweets?

You know when you were 7 and maybe once or twice you'd draw the mansion or super cool base you'd have when you grew up? It's the same thing here.

I hope Frank printed it out and put it on the fridge.

Alison "Maria Mint" Rapp blocked Brianna Wu so she could "make fun of [John] without feeling bad."

I don't have access to it, but the most perfect example of how fed up even the anti-GG crowd got with John was a Twitter exchange where John posted something like, "I am the biggest target of GamerGate," with a reply from Zoe Quinn along the lines of "What." Considering how deranged some of the people on that side of the fence were, it's really telling that John went too far even for them.
