The dragged behind the truck to death guy's name was James Byrd Jr. He was a black man.
Shame on John Walker Flynt for appropriating the racist murder of people of color for his own political gain. This is simultaneously whitewashing, cultural appropriation and shows he doesn't think that black lives matter at all.
Stephen Lynch, man of the people, knows James Byrd Jr.'s name, I bet. Unlike shitlord John.

And re: Wu's psychology; I think it's important to understand that, as disgusting as this "Mama the librarian" look is....
....this IS what it looks like when Wu tries with his appearance. This is what Wu thinks professional attire, translated thru his aesthetic, is. To whit: John died his hair a neutral brown, got rid of his beloved Sarkeesian-red streak, to be professional. The hair in this pic, for John, is astonishingly clean and styled. Though it appears dirty and reused upon Kiwi-inspection, this outfit ISN'T "Star Wars T, gut belt o' fail, and motorcycle boots with vague stick-combed up-do and Beatz-headphones-as-hairband" that Johnny favored for 3 years solid. Even the too-small glasses, in John's favorite color, red, were supposed to be progress towards being a big girl. I think John saw them as a notable accessory that would become his signature. John desperately wants to be famous enough to have signature glasses, etc, a la Elton John or somesuch.
Here's the problem, though: i suspect John has a loathing of going out in public. This plus goobergrape, and wanting attention, became "Hallp! They're gonna kill me! bodyguards! Bomb sweepers @ cons!" ....but the reality is, John KNOWS, I suspect, how terrible he looks. He said as much during that "Goodbye to John" suspected post, something along the lines of: "I know I'll never be beautiful, but I pass pretty well...". I think this explains why John's twitter feed never has pics of him, only Frankie. And John, thusly, isn;t going to go to the mall and shop at H&M, forever 21, or Chicktoria's Secret.....Could you imagine that? It would be hysterical; Johnny-boy towers over everyone.
No, jOhn buys his clothes online, does it rarely, and when he finds something he likes, he wears it until.....well, until it has those disgusting giant holes that the jeans in the veeery first pics of his "office" showed.
TL;DR Yes, this look was, in fact, John trying.

The election is well over a year away, and Wu has already managed to piss off the FEC. Apparently the rules are that a campaign committee has to file a statement of organisation within 10 days of the candidate declaring them official. BriBri (or more likely, Frank) managed to file it several months later, doubtless after having been received an angry letter.
Now the FEC is demanding clarification as to why they were so late, and are threatening enforcement action if they don't like the answer. Only Wu could manage this level of dumbshittery.

Spot on. Ears should be positioned at eye level, with part of the ear slightly above but most of it below the eyes. Your picture has John's head tilting down, which helps make them look less ridiculous.
This picture is with his head tilted slightly up, which exaggerates the effect the other way. Note that his ears are between nostril and mouth height (when looking straight ahead they're positioned around nostril height), which makes his face look very bizarre and unusually framed. Also, his ears are barely taller than his eyes are wide, which is also not aesthetically pleasing.

It's genuinely shocking she got this detail wrong. Matthew Shepard's murder is one of the most important turning points in the modern gay rights movement. A lot was made of the inherent symbolism of his being nailed to a fence and left to die (the number of stories that described what happened to him as being "crucified" is enormous). I expect John to fuck up, but I can't believe he'd get this wrong.

Is it, though? Brianna has always lived deep in her own little bubble and only reluctantly attaches herself to the LGBT movement. She's shown multiple times that she has a deep-seated issue with gay men so I can see her completely ignoring this story back in the day and ever since. After all, it's not a story about how awesome Brianna is and she's totally a pretty woman.

Yeah, I get that, but he was allegedly involved in politics. Mild power-level here, but John is just about my age, and I can tell you that the Matthew Shepard story was so huge there's no way he could have escaped it, regardless of how much he cared about LGBT issues, unless he were a complete ignoramus.

I have to think this is because, in a way, it reminds Wu of themselves given they're MtF and married to a 'cis' man*. Also possibly hinting that the John Walker Flynt days may have been homosexual in the southern US, generating strain between him and his parents. This of course does not even remotely preclude every single other problem that shows Flynt was/still is a complete and utter sociopath with no concept of deviating from what he thought was perfection on account of criticism, but all the same it could have been a contributing factor to the mess of problems going on in Flynt's head during those college years.
*Disclaimer: This is not my viewpoint on all relationships that have a 'cis' man and a MtF woman in marriage, far from it. But Wu is a completely irrational human being without even bringing in the whole transgender thing and so normal concepts do not necessarily apply to trying to understand their warped sense of being.

I thought there was something fishy about Wus story concerning Shepherd.
Minor power level here but I drove through Laredo on leave and visited the site where Shepherd was murdered. It's actually not a bad town when the locals aren't torturing gay people.

So Brianna registered to run back in December and named Brianna Wu for Congress as her committee. By law, she had to register her committee within ten days of that. Frank did it for her in February. Now they have to explain why it took two months.
If they don't like what they hear (which they won't), her whole campaign will undergo an audit.
