what i find interesting is wu is talking about lynch all the time but doesn't actually tag him in (m)any tweets. I may have missed a few but all the tweets from here I've seen are Stephen Lynch this, Stephen Lynch that but rarely (if ever) @RepStephenLynch

People are saying he's ignoring her but she's also deliberately avoiding pinging him.

Someone should just retweet her shit talking @RepStephenLynch

I think he's aware of everything Wu says, he just doesn't want to get into a slap fight so far away from reelection. It's obvious Wu has nothing better to do than just tweet all day. He only just got reelected, I think he wants to actually do things, so if Wu is actually in the race months down the line, instead of getting into a petty slapfight he can just point to all of his accomplishments in office. Wu loves playing the victim, the fact that Lynch hasn't responded is keeping her from claiming he's trying to mansplain to him and working with gamergate to oppress women.

Oh I can guarantee this is not the case. If anything, maybe one of his social media interns is aware of everything Wu says, but I seriously doubt they bother him with it. I would find it unlikely that Lynch even posts his own twitter messages, let alone namesearch himself on Twitter. He's kinda busy running the government. Also you can tell he's not much of a Twitter user.

If Lynch knows about Wu (and I'm sure he does, it's a politician's job to know who your opponents might be), it's from the interviews in local media, not from her Twitter account.

Edit: Basically, you gotta remember this guy has been in politics for 30 years, he has this shit down to a science. Lynch isn't going to concern himself with Brianna Wu until both of their names are on the same ballot and she's polling in the 30s or higher, other than vaguely being aware of her.

That's fair, I worded my original post poorly. I don't think Lynch obsessively watches Wu's twitter or anything, but it sounds like someone on his staff is at least keeping an eye on Wu for him. I do think he knows enough that Wu is a total trainwreck and not actually a threat, that's why he's fine with ignoring Wu for now.

Not for a while, I think, unless Bernie pops up to say trannies are mentally ill or some shit. Wu's convinced that the secret to winning the hearts and minds of millenials is to pretend that he's totally like Bernie, guys.

That strategy is bound to only produce poisoned fruit because Bernie has managed to make every side a little bit mad at him.

He's seen as a Clinton sellout to those who wanted him to not throw in the towel, he's seen as a wimp who let himself be walked all over by the hardcore Trumpers who aren't willing to be gracious in victory, and he's seen as a traitor to the Bernie fans who despise any attempt he ever made to acknowledge he and Trump agreed on some key points.

He still has fans, but they don't matter half as much as Wu thinks, and just because Wu memory holed his old tweets doesn't mean everyone forgot Wu's Bernie hating and Hill shilling, and lots of evidence and archives exist to point out the hypocrisy. Worse, a lot of the former Bernie fans joined Trump's camp, so even hoping to sucker the remaining gullible Bernie fans to care is not going to pay off all that well, especially since Wu is an elitist wearing a very bad "I'm for the everyman" disguise.

Here's the Twitter account of Dr. Samir Husni from Ole Miss, the guy Wu pilloried with racial slurs and was apparently one of the catalysts for the restraining order.

Been curious as to what his opinion is on Wu's run for congress.

No, I think I have it figured out: Wu's facial features are just horribly misaligned. I never noticed it until this photo, and looking for other photos for comparison, I realized that he usually has his hair covering his ears, so it's hard to tell. But just look closely, and you'll see what I mean. Normally, the top of the ears line up with the eyes, but Wu's long face puts his eyes significantly higher up than his ears. No wonder he has to wear glasses weirdly.

BTW, when looking for reference pics, I found one I'd never seen before. It's the only one where he actually looks decent. Why doesn't he use this instead of the long distance motorcycle shot for his campaign photo?

That's good?

No one here should be surprised that low-set ears are one of the physical features associated with . . .

:autism:

Would love to see Wu respond to that quote in a debate.

"Ms. Wu, here's a quote accusing you of calling a woman a "fat dyke" and Dr. Husni a raghead. What is your response to this?"

Wu: Those words were said by John Walker Flynt and he's dead.
