I crack up every time she trots out the "No Republican should run opposed" line. It makes it sound like either she can't even remember that she's running against a Democrat, or she's a giant hypocrite.

Dunno. How often do people get popped in those parts for campaign law bullshit? If they go after people for bad accounting then maybe. If they seem to only go after those who were clearly predatory and not just dumb then maybe not. I doubt they'll get enough money to go beyond only looking dumb and bad at accounting, no matter the real motivation.

I'm starting to wonder if the Wus did reach out to the Massachusetts Democratic Party and got shot down or something. They're really going out of their way to slag off Democrats at every opportunity.

When that guy asks about an actual local issue Wu pretty much says "Local issues are for plebs, I just want to get into the House to run the country".
You can get away with being a "national politician" in the House if you're someone like Nancy Pelosi - richer than God, well-connected, and in a safer-than-safe seat. If you're a small-timer neophyte trying to challenge an incumbent: no way in hell.

Keep in mind, she's receiving donations from his friends and supporters. It's not like he aired this ad to anyone else, it was on his own vimeo account. The only audience he's reaching is people who follow him to begin with, and us. Most people will not be looking for information about him, but that's because they have no idea who the hell he is, or that he's running in the first place. Remember, this is very much a local election, and I think we can safely say that most of her support is currently coming from people outside his district, hell, probably outside of her state in general. The few district voters that do genuinely seem interested in him are just getting ignored and blocked. I also have a feeling at least some of the district voters are just messing with Wu because they know of him from GG and Rev60.
Anyway, I think my favorite part of the ad was her call that "no Republican should run unopposed." How is Wu fighting against unopposed republicans? By running against a democrat. Classic Wu logic right there.

She has nowhere near the relevance she thinks she does, and if we've learned nothing else in almost three years of coverage, it's that Brianna Wu fucking this up with the force of a nuclear device is not a matter of if, but indeed when. Wu fucks up with such clockwork regularity that you can guarantee that even if she has the best tard wranglers in existence keeping her on task, she will still find a way to shit the bed so hard it will break the floorboards.
This is someone who couldn't even victim narrative without fucking it up.
This is someone whose biggest attempts to make herself seem like a victim are widely responded to with open mockery. This is someone who screams at interviewers if they don't show outright taint-licking supplication towards her talking points. This is someone who threw an iPad at someone for spilling a water bottle. This is someone who interrupts a speaking engagement she's at to demand police search the building for IEDs because someone disagreed with her. This is someone who repeatedly tried to use the FBI as a personal army, growing increasingly incensed when they failed to immediately arrest people solely on her say so, got immediately flustered when she refused to give details of allegedly-threatening calls that were fabricated by friends of hers, and ultimately accused the FBI of being in league with Gamergate when they stopped tolerating her shit.
Wu cannot not fuck up. It is literally the only thing she has ever been good at.

That section about needing only 4,000 votes to win a primary election against Lynch is stupid and ill-informed beyond words. It's literally something a third-grader with no knowledge of politics would say.
Not a single Democratic incumbent in the Massachusetts delegation to the U.S. House faced a primary opponent in 2016. But in the Ninth Congressional District, two Republicans faced off in the primary. The winner received 12,467, about 10 percent of what he got in the general election, which he lost, receiving only 33 percent of the vote in November.
Extrapolating from those numbers, Flynt/Wu would need almost 30,000 votes to beat Lynch in the Democratic Primary. And that's a very low estimate because turnout in the Democratic primaries -- which basically determine the eventual winners in Massachusetts -- would be much higher than in the GOP primaries -- which basically determine the eventual losers.

A no name challenger with zero recognition beyond GG and our circles isn't going to win a primary in anywhere. A Google search is one of the first things political opponents do, and there's plenty of material that would shoot down a campaign if it ever saw mainstream attention.

She's not going to win. She won't even break double digits. This is a socially conservative district that is filled with blue-collar factory jobs. Wu has shown disdain for blue collar workers and is making the focus of her campaign technology. Technology which is making those workers in the district lose their jobs. It's the equivalent of running in Detroit on a platform to make cars obsolete.
This doesn't account for the fact she's going up against a seasoned politician who spent his whole life in that district and worked as the head of a union for over a decade. A guy who has a lot of campaign funds and extremely high favorability ratings in the district.
As for the money, that's great news for us. We don't want this to flame out in a couple weeks. Two years of Brianna Wu playing politician is more laughs than most of us could possibly handle. This is going to be amazing!

I think Wu's only path to primary victory would be a ton of crossover votes from conservatives to get her to the general and have a much better chance at the GOP winning the seat (with Wu seen as a much weaker Dem cand than Lynch). It'd be a match between sane libs for Lynch and conservatives and fringe wackos for Wu (presuming it is between Lynch and Wu).

This is the best outcome because the FEC rules are very strict and every dollar he takes in has to be recorded and tracked. Any of it goes missing or is spent on personal goods or services and he will have to answer for it.
John basicly strapped a big bomb to his silcone tits.
We will be watching and all campaign expenses have to be listed and made available by request. Given Johnny's complete inability to be comptent at pretty much anything it's only a matter of time until he fucks up and misspends his campaign funds on some stupid trivial shit.
Then the fun starts!
So hope that he takes in the bucks bcuase the seriousness of the crime is dependent on the fraudulent amont.
