I appreciate anyone exposing Brianna to the world at large, but this article gives her entirely too much credit by pretending as if there was an audience of actual human beings planning to vote for her.

That's a thing that any media outlet that's "friendly" to Flu seems to do. And calling them "media outlets" is stretching the term in some cases (where's the Bustle Article John?).

It confuses me why John (and other indie darlings like Chelsea Valkenberg) regarded as a game dev when he only shipped one subpar game.
Guess it helps to have the right politics.
Oh, and being able to make friends with games journalists.

Game developer is such a broad term. Can one finish one game and be a game developer for the rest of their life? Can they develop a game while never finishing it, and still be considered a game developer? I would say yes to both, but it does not put Brianna on the same level as a John Carmac or a Roberta Williams.

Kinda off-topic, but I was listening to the Ben Shapiro Show recently when he introduced their latest sponsor... Blue Apron. I wonder how hard Wu would REEEEEEEEEEEEEE if she found out that her favourite food product (which it's blatantly obvious she's plugging) was endorsed by an evil right-wing Republican who's infinitely more credible than she is.

Or even the guy who made Flappy Bird. And probably at least a hundred other people no one ever heard of that put out small, humble but fun and interesting games that you could find on a Saturday afternoon sepearing the wheat from the chaff on Steam.

Skimmed over the article, not surprisingly I couldn't find a single instance deadnaming in it - just the information that Chelsea Manning was named Bradley when she leaked the information. It isn't a surprise either, that Wu thinks that every mention of a pre-transition name is 'deadnaming'.

Um, has Brianna did any real campaigning since she announced she was running for Congress because she should have been working on it like 2 months ago.

Update: so her opponent just attended two MLK events and attended the Mayor of Boston's State of the City address.

She did mention she will put out a political ad soon, but she is too busy watching season 2 of Expanse.

"I stood up to the alt right during #gamergate" that literally means nothing to the vast majority of voters and John states it like it's a huge accomplishment that everyone should be proud of.
Also, lol the motorcycle driving into the sunset shot and her using her twitter profile pic where she's trying to look badass.
 
There is absolutely nothing in that ad that seems directed at convincing Democrats to vote against Lynch in the primary -- just lots of Pavlovian whistles about Trump, Fox News, Planned Parenthood, etc. Unless it's that Lynch is pro-life?

A pro-life Democrat who's been reelected to six or seven terms has probably got a big Catholic base to represent (or so I assume, given this is Massachusetts). I don't see this making a dent.

Oh, and the first words out of a would-be Congressman's mouth being "I'm truly terrified!" isn't exactly inspiring.

1. Campaigning 2 years before the election
2. Mentioning standing up to gamergate as a credential, which 95% of voters will never have heard of
3. Expecting to endear yourself to voters by flashing a myspace angle type pic of you and a bike at the very end of the piece without once showing you talking to the camera and instead just softly kermitting in the background like the squeaky echo of a fart.
