And if John thinks he can pull skeevy, illegal shit in his fundraising, the requirements for doing that shit right may not ensure honesty, but they're highly technical and tricky, and a slight fuck up can get you prosecuted.

John's opponents will not let that shit slide. They'll make an example of him for anyone else thinking of pulling some moronic stunt against the local machine, and they play for keeps.

I'm sure the working class voters John wants to be his constituents will be thrilled to learn how rich and privileged he constantly boasts about being, while constantly ranting about what scum they are.

That worked really well for Hillary.
 
I knew that John's little move, where he deleted his tweets and started using his account for official "house candidate" business, would be largely ineffective and short lived. There is simply no way John can go cold turkey and give up on his incessant 'sperging about dumb shit for any length of time, even if his political aspirations and sham campaign hang in the balance. He seems to be playing it pretty chill now, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before he lashes out at someone in a manor which is unbecoming of someone running for office.

John's on-going and ever more elaborate scams are always intertwined with deeply rooted sexual fetishisim. This whole "running for office" scam seems like a perfect move for John. While I think some practical element of this is a money grab, I don't think it's really the end-game. This run for office must really satisfy John's ever growing and insatiable thirst for recognition as a "powerful woman". It's pretty clear that for John, dressing up a woman, chopping off his tackle, hooking up with a man, and then tickling his approximation of a taco as a "game developer" just wasn't kinky enough and he now needs the entire 8th district of Massachusetts as well as the U.S. House of Representatives to play along in his dark little role play.

He never spent his own money. It's always money given to him for doing ultimately nothing. Of course it doesn't help that he most likely spends his nights fantasizing about grand political rallies in his name, with thousands of admirers chanting "I'M WITH XIR!". When the sad reality will be 3 johns chanting swallow it at the local glory hole.

On a side-note. How many terms have the other representatives served in that area? With Trump wanting to implement term-limits he may end up running for an empty seat, depending on how the limits are implemented.

Trump mocked handicaped people on national television and had half the Republicans denouncing him by the time of the election. He still ultimately won by a wide margin much to everybody's surprise.

I'm thinking that's Wu's angle - if Trump can be under fire and criticized for nearly two years straight and still win the title of 'Free World Leader' then what's stopping Wu from doing the exact same thing? Other than everything Wu always fails to realize such as how nobody actually agrees with a word they say, their face scares children (Trump ain't pretty but an orange wearing a toupe wins over the ghoul with a receding hairline any day), no real form of campaign support funds, no actual fucking platform (Trump won on the promise of keeping jobs in America), and I don't think even membership in any political party at present.

The guy she is targeting has been there since 2001. To be honest the term limits will simply slow it down rather than stop it totally. Most reps will appoint cronies in their stead for a single term, then jump back in. Much like the Presidential office, even term limits don't stop you from running again.
 
Term limits would require a constitutional amendment, which obviously isn't going to happen. Hell, even if it just required a regular law it would not. Most of Mass' delegation has a good amount of seniority (thats what not having any real competition in the general will do for you) but there's one or two that are new simply due to retirements and people running for other office.

Term limits are unconstitutional. The only limits on terms for federal Congress are in the Constitution, and states can't just add shit to that.
