LOL the Crash Shrine is back

Immediate observations:

1. For six hours of cleaning, why is Netflix even on if it's been deliberately put to 'search' selection? If it had been running while cleaning, that's one thing, but it doesn't default to search like that if it was being used or had not just been turned on.

2. Why the fuck is the television mounted THAT high - seriously, you'd have to crane your neck up to look at it (and also squint) if you were sitting in those couches. Remote is also conspicuously upside down - yet Netflix is waiting for user input.

2.5 - unless that TV is mounted directly to the table because it's a plasma TV, specifically Samsung. My family has one that we'd forgotten was like that until we had to store it following a lightning strike blowing its circuitboard. Finding a replacement was a bitch because plasmas aren't really made anymore and it wasn't even the exact same board, but it is on old bed risers from my college days in the master bedroom. But the point of all this exposition is that I'm pretty sure that is an out-of-date plasma TV that looks hillariously shit in the mounting because it can't be removed from the giant black block under it. And if a part fails, well, I actually doubt a repair shop would be able to locate a suitable replacement part, meaning Wu would have to completely undo that horror show of wiring and bad ergonomics to put in a new TV.

3. That lamp in the back room is leaning horribly to the left yet isn't also against the wall. Either it's not screwed in all the way or it's fucking got something broken.

4. Also in the back room is what looks like a dehumidifyer connected to a hose running out the window just behind it. Something's not right if they have to have something like that installed.

5. This is an incredibly weird comment attached to the pic. If you're gonna talk about the couch, then why is the focal point...not the couch?

6. Those box speaker locations are terrible. Not centered around the television and at opposite ends of the room.

7. More than ever, the random-ass mix of furnishings looks more like the Wu's got home furniture tips from the Chandlers than anything that looks like they are aesthetically compatible.

8. Why is that far wall never decorated with more than the Crash shrine? So that way, the wall isn't going to draw Wu's attention to the dog they killed over a twitter slapfight more than 'necessary' I bet.

9. You really have to wonder what in fuck would make that couch turn almost completely black, only that couch black, and how clean Mr. Wu looks after six hours of cleaning black stain shit with nothing but a clean dustpan and a hardly used handbrush.

gotta love sweeping generalisations...

how about all kickstarter backers are retarded hipsters that funded a make believe woman to make a make believe game that still is waiting for a make believe patch..

ya house is as souless as you and your asian man servant...

That could be a portable air conditioner. I used to have one that looked very similar to it a few years ago. But then the one I had could never cool a space that big, so maybe not.

"Huh? My story? Okay. It was never easy for me. I was born a poor black child. I remember the days, sittin' on the porch with my family, singin' and dancin' down in Mississippi..."
"This is a story all about how
My life got flip-trooned upside down.
And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right here,
I'll tell you how I became the world's
Best Unreal engineer."

Yes John, we've all read Did You Know Gaming, what is your point?

So she wasn't erased from Nintendo history, she was never a part of it.

Between all the overheating caused by the layers of dust and the consoles jammed against each other, and the wall socket on the right, Wu's Franks' relative's place is house fire waiting to happen.

Yeah. Filthy. If i didn't know any better, I would assume that house was shared by two dudes.

It is a portable air conditioner. If you look closely, the hose is connected to a panel at the window which is how they are set up. It can't be very effective in such a room with the open doorway and a fairly decent sized room (if that's the office like I think it is). I had one set up in a mid-sized, closed up room a couple of years ago and it could barely keep it at a comfortable temperature.

It's not the office. From complied images, we've speculated that it's about a third of the main living room, and connects directly into the kitchen. It's a pretty sorry excuse for a dining room.

Wu is talking about Nintendo before modern electronics existed, and before it was even called Nintendo, and acting like it's really the same company. I love it.

Those aren't speakers. They're the lighthouses for her Vive. Basically infrared beacons that allow the headset to figure out where it's at while you walk around the room, and that's the way they're supposed to be set up.

Oh, she's going to play that?
http://koei.wikia.com/wiki/Keiko_Erikawa
Key points:
* While not a programmer herself, she served an important role in Koei's founding
* Bought a state of the art (at the time) computer to cheer her husband up after his business filed for bankruptcy and encouraged to sell the games he made
* Pitched ideas to game companies
* Started a line of games catering to women made by women; in fact, she might as well be the creator of the Otome genre
* Even hoped to get women to join the industry

She's like Brianna if she actually contributed something. And also an actual woman.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otome_game
And on America's side, Carla Meninsky and Carol Shaw were two female programmers who originally worked at Atari.

Yes, John. Because what happened 127 years ago in Japan is an example of how women today are being kept down by the White Patriarchy.

Why is she important to Nintendo history again? I can understand if she actually ran the company, but she didn't. This is like complaining that Alexander The Great's boyfriend was supposed to get Europe, but was split among his generals instead, and presenting it as "homophobia".
She's only important because she's the daughter of Nintendo's founder who had no sons so her husband was adopted into their family. It's a Japanese thing where if you are married to a woman whose family is prestigous, you get to adopt their surname. I don't know why she even brought this up considering that they were only making playing cards when she was still alive.

What do you guys want to bet, that the only reason why they cleaned the house, was because of the backlash from that console photo and it was Frank who 'put the foot down'.
4. Also in the back room is what looks like a dehumidifyer connected to a hose running out the window just behind it. Something's not right if they have to have something like that installed.
Agreeing on that portable AC bit, dehumidifyers have smaller hoses.
6. Those box speaker locations are terrible. Not centered around the television and at opposite ends of the room.
Pretty sure those are the sensors for the Vive.

This looks like the first "real home" you have when you get out of college and haven't had the time or money to buy some decent furniture. So you still use the old IKEA shelves from your college days and whatever old furniture your can find, like that ancient couch table your aunt had stored away on her attic. Frank probably wasted more then half a million dollar on Brianna, and in all those years they didn't buy some-cheap ass paintings to hang on the wall and a wall cupboard to so she can store her shit properly.
