That would imply Wu actually tries to play anything older than a PS1 for longer than maybe a half hour.
Because she would have to ask people how to install an emulator and therefore look less competent. Of course she could always try to make it sound more complicated than it is and hope someone mansplains it to her, bitch them out, then do exactly what they said anyway.
She probably has it on so it can automatically install updates like her Apple products do. Yes. That must be the reason right there.
It needs a competent human being who understands how to take care of themselves. Barring that possibility, a simple electrical fire so Wu can get more asspats and blame the fire department for blatant sexism for not teleporting to their house.

:autismould be from smoke. But really, old consoles had some plastic coloration issues because the plastic used had anti-flammable compounds that darkened the color over the years, could be sun damage as well.
Seeing as the wall is just about the same color, I'm gonna go with it just being a lighting or filth issue.
