John's insistence that GDQ is equivalent to the fucking Super Bowl is so far beyond stupid, I don't even have a word for it. GDQ is a charity stream where a bunch of autists do their thing for a few days while a mouthbreather reads donation messages on the mic. There's no season or brackets or anything, you just sign up and send a video, and if you're good enough, you get a spot.

John is still nowhere near fast enough to top the leaderboards in SMB2/SMA, and it's probably not that interesting a game to watch anyway. Admittedly, I don't know much about it, but it's my understanding there are maybe a couple of glitches to pull off, and otherwise it's just knowing where to warp and finishing as quickly as possible. Maybe he can pull the troon card to get in, or screech at them about how he's the Godzilla of Tech Feminism or something. Either way, it won't be due to merit, I'll say that much.

It's even worse than that, marathon settings are notoriously non-competitive and more about showcasing off a run. A common phrase during events is "marathon safe" which means you specifically aren't playing optimally to pick a more reliable route because actual speedrunning involves turbo autism and tons of resetting. Because these events have schedules, runners typically use less efficient methods or they have saves prepared. The goal is never to get a world record or anything, and outside of a few races, there's nothing resembling competition.

John is also being extra misleading because he's trying to imply GDQ itself is an event. It's not, it's the name of the channel. They host a bunch of stuff, pretty sure they run 1-3 shows every day. They do fine as far as Twitch channels go, but outside of their big summer/winter events, which John is very much not applying for, they attract at best an average amount of attention. And because, to the surprise of nobody, John is applying for a niche event there's even less competition to get in. The Fatales events are even more gimmicky and showcasey in nature than the charity events because it's down to promote "females" (and there's about as many females as you'd expect) in speedrunning. It would almost be more impressive if John didn't get in because I'm pretty sure they accept anyone just to fill the schedule.

Hate speech, that is threats of violence and bodily and other harm against people based on race/religion/sexuality, has dropped now that niggers, fags, and trannies are getting treated like anyone else and being banned for advocating violence against wypipo & 'breeders'.

I agree that we shouldn't just trust the figures of the owner of the company so I guess I'm required to accept John's "how you measure these things" of "absolute bs, and everyone knows it" since these are the only two possible methods.

Not only does this comeback not make any sense but in the first two tweets he's victim blaming Elon Musk of all people for apparently being "physically abused" lmao

What has John done to get over his "abuse" and become empathetic? Of the two, I'd argue Elon is vastly more empathetic despite his being a little caustic publicly to workers he just inherited. Ignoring John's devoted cause of harming countless people in some way if he personally benefits and just looking at his time as a boss, John created fake workers and then claimed to be abusing them.

Yeah John at this point anyone advocating even mildly conservative views should just be imprisoned and killed because they are obviously unrepentantly evil. It's definitely extremely psychologically and emotionally healthy to go around that thinking that most people who are not you are demons.

And the climate change message isn't a metaphor. It's the usual ham-fisted Disney message that will be obvious to a 3-year-old.
