Of course, if someone actually knows anything about the history of the United States they know this is nonsense. There wasn't a majority to "recon" with slavery until the Civil War. That was why we had it, because the slave states understood time was against them especially now that the opposition had become abolitionists. That'd be pretty obvious if you knew enough about the Civil War to know the states were trying to leave.
