Christina Hoff Summers real career was basically over by the time of Gamergate. She was already 64 and hadn't published a serious book in nearly a decade. She'd been shitposting online for a while and probably only interacted with Gamergate because it let her troll people like John again.

John will apparently never get over a now 70+ year old woman shitposting online while he was angry about something stupid.

exactly, it means chief - it's short for chef de cuisine (in this context which is the point)
If you are working one of the stations , then you are the chief (chef ) of that station chef de partie
(though I always found that pretentious -- so sometimes it's for the guests, esp in an open kitchen...the ole dog and pony show -- well unless someone is running a team on their station - or it's a visiting chef...then it's like the whole captain commodore thing.
But I also get it, if you are running fish, then you are running that station -- and it reminds a well delegated kitchen to stay the fuck out of your station)

but chief, that's exactly the point - and those chiefs are in a professional kitchen and are steering a much bigger boat than burning a meal kit for a singe chinaman- they are running service and turning tops

At least with something like a shadetree mechanic, they are actually doing mechanics, but

Man, I used to play music for some upper scale places (to get jobs, keep it DOWN and deal with the fact you are wallpaper) and I feel for the kitchen. I felt way more kindred with them than FoH..whores the lot of them (and not even fun sex whores, just dolla whores)

What exactly do these people want to happen with housing? Landlords be responsible for all maintenance, but the tenants not have to pay any rent? They all say they can fix it by taxing the landlord and not giving them any money so everyone would be squatting in rapidly deteriorating buildings? I just can’t wrap my head around it.
