If this GamerGate tv show Wu wants to make manages to become a thing, I can't wait to hear of it crashing harder than that one show that had her on SyFy that also brought up Parkourdude91.

Smuckles has been trying to restart Gamergate since it ended. It was the height of his popularity.
I adored his victory lap after getting banned from Patreon and telling everyone he was meeting with Mike Pence to get Trump to talk about Gamergate.

I don't know what the plan was, but the one thing I am sure of is that it was very big brained.

Called it. The galaxy brains at Mind Riot completely fucked themselves by publicly hitching their wagon to a fraudulent nutcase to produce their narcissistic self-insert fan fic, and now they can't move forward without looking like assholes to their target audience because the OG fraudulent nutcase is publicly shitting on their project. The hilarious part is that Quinn already sold the rights to her story to Amy Pascal (ex-Sony pictures) for a movie that never made it out of development hell and can't cash in with anybody else unless that deal has an expiration date.
 
There's a way they could make this show compelling to me, but probably no one else on the entire planet.

Make it a show about Zoe Quinn's "Crash Override Network" and all the people in it, and at the start everything is saccharine and romanticized, the people in Blowey Zoey's group are like Hackers meets Power Rangers and they're gonna defeat sexism together. Then, as the series progresses, we slowly learn every single one of them is a sexual harasser, domestic abuser, embezzling money from somone or a general grifter or con-artist until the whole thing collapses during a "TERF" controversy that splits the group in two, and then the volunteer workers all get laid off and end up homeless just like IRL, and now the whole thing has gone from "Feminist Hacker Power Rangers" to "Shut-In Tiger King" because everyone is horrible.

The penultimate scene is Wu's self insert crying as xe/xim/xir deletes all the contacts off their phone because all of them turned out to be terrible people, and Wu's inner monologue says that as long as they raised enough awareness about women's issues to make gaming a safer, more inclusive place, everything was worth it.

Cut to the last scene, years later, where the head of California's DOJ announces they're filing a lawsuit against Activistion-Blizzard for a long series of sexual abuse claims that go back way before GamerGate and kept going years after it wound down, and we learn Crash Override did absolutely nothing to change it at all. The final shot of the series is a game screen that reads "MISSION FAILED -- GAME OVER!"

Odds are good Wu will be played by a bio-female.

Scenes at Gamergate Headquarters, where the heads of the Gamergate terrorist organization meet to plan their retaliation against "her", in a conference room dominated by very large and very flattering oil painting portraits of Elliot Rodger and Dylan Roof.

John knows Zoe cut him out of the whole CON scene after trying to exploit him, when they realized he was a narcissistic egomaniacal pathological liar. And after all, they already had Zoe, they didn't need another.

Those tweets were an example of how victim-for-profit grifters direct the attention away from real victims with no support systems.

Also, after SEVEN YEARS, when was the last (or first) time anti-GG EVER promoted a successful female game developer? Coder, art designer, writer, environment designer, the list goes on. It's overwhelmingly been the pro side doing that especially when it comes to Ikumi Nakamura and Amy Henning and the like. And whenever female developers are successful, they're attacked by the people who claim to "support women in gaming". They're the real misogynists.

I don't hate social justice because it supports equality. I hate the ideology because it DOESN'T. It does the exact opposite, ensuring white man supremacy by making everyone else into victims between a smart dog and a stupid child. They break their own rules all the time, eat their own, hurt their own as collateral damage with the stones thrown in their glass houses, and never offer the oppressed/offended groups anything close to compensation.

  • Games journalist got caught trading sexual favours for positive coverage.
  • Journalists used their connections to censor all discussion of this, including sites known for free speech. Which is strange as they never went that far with previous review scandals.
  • People started digging and find evidence that a web of corruption and cronyism.
  • Journalists of supposedly competing outlets released a bunch of articles the same day declaring gamers to be dead.
  • Then game journos pro is leaked. A secret mailing list where journalists colluded on what to cover, who to cover, and how to spin the stories they did cover.
  • For the next two years, game journos kept trying to be corrupt, getting caught red handed, and raging about it online.

I'm not GamerGate scholar, but as far as "the victims of gamergate" go, I've never heard of these people in relation to gamergate. Zoe Quinn, Anita Sarkeesian, and Brianna Wu were called "literally who" by GG, and there were a few people who tried it with limited success.

Maybe they're trying to connect the Riot Games shitshow to GG?
