So John's entire claim to fame is that a few years ago he tweeted some dumb meme, caused a huge controversy, and in the blow-back, got doxed, harassed and threatened by internet randos. Following this, he leveraged the whole affair to engaged on a multi-year, world wide publicity campaign involving speaking engagements, conference panels, an episode in reality TV show, and finally culminating in a congressional campaign -- all hinging on how unequivocally horrible and evil those people were who directly participated in said harassment, wrote about it, enabled it through inaction, or provided a platform for it.
Yet he is somehow still on the fence about the whole CNN thing.
