Some group of internet pseuds, whose work is so important they jack it in for some hashtag, have a colossal, decades-long, probably trillion-dollar plan to create a "new middle class" with whatever the fuck their conception of a clean energy revolution is. Politicians rightfully argue for weeks at a time over minor spending adjustments, but that's not a problem in fantasy land!

Of course Wu swallows it, hook, line and sinker. It was decided at a political meeting, like what them politicians do, and so there's another ready-packaged "policy" to advance without another thought.

Clean energy is tied to location, you don't lose clean energy jobs, or any energy jobs, by having them exist in another continent. It's like saying "oh Italy built a nuclear power plant so now we cant do it."

Now if different counties or to some degree different states were competing to offer energy jobs then yeah you got a problem. You only need X amount of those positions in a region. It's def a bit more complex than that but it isn't when you're talking about fucking continents. Shanghai isn't shipping coal energy to us except maybe in batteries? Maybe? Which is fucking negligible.

Not to mention that engineer/journalist Flynt/Wu has left out a word crucial to the tweet making any sense. Does he mean "17 times greater," "17 percent greater," "17 percentage points greater"? Who knows?

For someone who thinks he's a genius, he's remarkably stupid.

God, that would be so fucking great. Just to have a journalist who doesn't know any better ask, "So, I'm sure that as a member of the transgendered community you're very concerned about the politics surrounding it. What will you do to advocate on their behalf?" He'll either have to deny the VERY obvious truth, or finally be open about the fact that he's a trans.

Idiot teens and kids just hitting 20 believe in the nonsensical extreme black and white politics used to describe Democrats and Republicans. John "Brianna Wu" Flynt is living out his fantasy of being a 20 year old woman.

The motorcycle he can't legally nor physically ride. The "classic" car he can't legally drive. The absurd quantity of Apple products and unused VR headsets. It explains everything. The invented jobs and credentials he would imagine a successful young woman would have. It's his coping mechanism for what a miserable failure he is. He is bitter for any occasion he is forced to take responsibility for his poor choices.

I used to think he was clever using manufactured persecution to raise money. I even believed the campaign donations was a brilliant scheme. Alas it all comes from desperation. Any threat to his illusion is met with resistance and sometimes violence (iPad tossing incident). Any reinforcement from an outside person is used to develop a new coping strategy that manifests as doubling down in many cases.

John Walker Flynt has wired his brain to believe his own lies to block out his failures. Where is the patch?
 
So did the Wu's buy a new couch with their donations? That doesn't look like the ragged old couch they got from the thrift store before.
