As I recall, the real reason he tried to run for Congress in the 8th district is because he was formerly living in Arlington, which is part of the 5th district, represented then and now by Katherine Clark. Not only would that mean going against the sisterhood and trying to unseat a woman, Clark was at least somewhat sympathetic towards John's cyberbullying claims, as seen here:You know, it's pretty funny I think John might have shot himself in the foot by going for the low hanging fruit.
