Typical Wu: She would LOVE to best someone in debate over a public forum, but as soon as she starts losing the argument logic-wise, or if someone else reveals insight or experience into the subject which trumps her position....

Reading this exchange alone should be enough to show anyone that Wu is only using feminism to shore up the holes in her half-assed worldview. True believer my ass; it's a convenient tool with my vocal adherents, nothing more. The very fact that us Kiwis have seen Wu do this OVER and OVER again, pulling out the feminist lingo as the very last card she has left in her deck of battle strategies, is more than enough to show that she sees it as nothing more than a weapon of last resort.

It just underscores how threadbare Wu's paltry arsenal is that Wu goes from picking a fight to using the last ditch bottom of the barrel "feminism" arguments usually about two or three tweets in.

I love Derek Smart. For the uninitiated, Smart's been an aggressive asshole since the net was born, but he also acutely understands both the need for internet freedom and - more importantly - every single strategy used by trolls that fucking exists. Liquid gambit? Smart's fought that off twice. Open lawbreaking to make your case? Bitch, please, Smart's petty enough to litigate just to make you look like the asshole you are in public. He's essentially the king of Flame Warriors, and he can mix it up with the best of them on any forum, typically without ever getting a banhammer. He stays just inside the rules of what he can get away with and often relies on his enemies fucking up (which they often do). Strategically, Smart is the sort of Internet War veteran all Kiwis could learn from.
And he was nice enough to vivisect Wu for me. All of my feels.
I gotta try to get up the parts of my article update I lost last night (I did a pretty big update to the main page and some uploading), but after that, I'm totes adding this.

Congrats Wu. You've proven that a person who is constantly harping on about diversity in games has their only released game suffering same-face character's harder than a Guy Fawkes convention.
Second- I gotta say this again- the facial structure of her characters in disturbing as hell. I realize they're animoo styled, but most anime faces are designed that way to depict emotion. Even the most hyperstylized versions at least remember that most human characters have mouths. These dead-eyed, jawless creatures Wu created remind me of praying mantis more than anything.
Third- Also when in doubt with what to do for a cover: eyes up, head down. Or at least I think that's a head down- the jawline is so unforgivably bad that I can't even tell.

All of a sudden you've "given one of the best talks" of your "career", a "career" that appears to be tweeting and playing video all day by yourself until you burn your legs. But you "just can't find a week" to finish the port of your game which you Kickstarted and is over a year late.

Can I just say that "Giant Spacekat" is the worst name for a studio with such low productivity? "Giant" suggests a leader in their field. How about, dunno, "Teensie Slimebitch"? Hmm. "Weensie Scumdog"? No, that sounds too Gwar.
