@Optimus Prime brought this up when checking out our PDF of the dissolution of Socially Unconscious Productions, but essentially the paperwork shows that SOCCON was sold off as a condition for John's rehab. It's also one of the few things that (A) Brianna Wu has admitted to off-site (indeed, this, paired with blowing $200,000 is the only loss Brianna's ever admitted to), and (B) matches up with available evidence. Whilst the universal rule of Brianna Wu applies (never believe anything she says without verification), on this one she's telling the truth.

Ever notice that these shitholes all rely on fucking clickbait, but they hate any ability whatsoever for the community to have any response when they, y'know, all have a history of fucking openly lying? It's not just their own fucking websites, either, they want all comment sections everywhere banned, as well as any location where things can be discussed that they don't like.

Brianna Wu blocks user reviews on Youtube and Vimeo (even videos she doesn't directly have a role in), she disables the comment threads on the same. Her belief is that only people who are important enough should have a voice, but this idiocy meets its fitting end when she recants this very belief if someone who disagrees with her happen to have an audience of millions of users, in which case they then must be silenced because they're"problematic" - which I feel pretty much seals the deal that these people are just facists with better PR.
 
Removing comment sections will just encourage people to avoid their websites.

Okay, I see what you are getting at. Though I could of sworn that the 200k was for his operation, not just a studio. Considering John has a long history of lying and that him coming out as trans would be like blood in the water to many an SJW, wouldn't Flynt prefer to say that he went to rehab instead? Otherwise his followers will see him for the privileged shitlord he is.

Sorry if I'm starting to get too conspiracy theorist. It's just with the level of crazy that Wu and his ilk exhibit, sometimes the real answers are much more bizarre (sex change operation) than the one that seems most likely (drug addiction).

Maybe Wu was on hormones instead of drugs? Not prescribed ones, but something cheap and easily obtainable for someone with money but either can't let it be known they're taking hormones or can't spend the proper dollar to purchase quality, under-the-counter ones.

Just a little historical sperging, but necessary should Wu shit out anymore stupidity regarding the low female playable character count.

MGS V The Phantom Pain takes place in the 1980s, in Afghanistan and Angola, Neither were especially known for having huge amounts of female soldiers or mercenaries, so the low amount of female characters you can find is being accurate to the time period.

Yeah, you could argue Kojima could've fudged things in the name of being progressive, but he chose to reflect the time period in which the game is set, which appeals to my inner history sperg.

As an added aside, Afghanistan is a Muslim country, so none of the Afghan characters are female. There were some female Soviet soldiers and civilian support, but this wasn't very common. As for Angola, the mercenary business was largely male by default, still is to my knowledge.
