Just a bit of confusion on my part: How does this "FemSnake" BS change the story? I tried the same thing, no story changes, you are still referred to as "Boss" (the game treats all characters besides Big Boss as him, male or female), and none of the actual plot related stuff is changed by switching out to another playable avatar.

If this were MaleShep/FemShep level changes, I'd buy this, but Wu is reaching hard otherwise.
This was a feature that was in Peace Walker. In that game, you sometimes have to use a generic character since Snake is preoccupied. I'm kind of disappointed that there's no unique dialogue for soldiers in MGSV compared to PW.
I think Wu might go NUCLEAR when she finds out /v/ calls their female soldiers their waifus.

Andrea Warner.

Natalie O'Brien is currently on vacation with her brother, Michael McDoesntExist and her husband, Sir Not Appearing In This Film.

Speaking of Amanda (That's her actual name, I believe), what's her deal? How did she and Bri meet together? For someone with such a important position in GSK as cofounder, she has been barely mentioned at all by Bri until now, and only in that inconsequential tweet, per @Cynical's post. Does she drink the same kool-aid as her boss does, or is she a normal person in an unlucky position?

I remember @Jaimas posting intel about GSK employees, including Amanda. Any chance you can dig that up? Also, was it "Natalie" or Amanda who was pregnant and Bri freaked out over that? If the former, it was probably a fake move to make her look progressive. If the latter, it speaks wonders about their professional relationship.

I like when someone quoted her "deep" words that "You can't change someone's opinion, but you can change their behavior."

Of course you can change someone's opinion, you dummy

I think that was Brianna speaking from her vast experience of never truly changing her own opinions or worldviews. Also, her experience of never changing anyone else's opinion because she is so poor at debating.

Did Moot get a sex change too?

From that page, it mentions transcripts. Did someone actually pony up the cash to pull John Flynt's academic records?

Nah, we just grabbed yearbook info and such.

Natalie was the one that Brianna Wu claimed was Pregnant, hence the image on her lolcow wiki page. As for Amanda, I've been informed that BriWu met her via Craigslist. About 90% of Giant SpaceKat left the company when their contracts expired, because nobody wanted to work with Brianna Wu. This currently leaves Giant SpaceKat with four employees:

Brianna Wu (Self-Appointed Manifest God and Project Manager)
Amanda Warner ("lead animator" and Project Manager)
Frank Wu (space ship modeler)
Natalie O'Brien (Twitter handler)

....This is the whole team. Two project managers, one of whom is solely known for creating animated logos for companies, a sci-fi artist with minimal modeling skills, and someone who arguably does not exist. The others (credited and otherwise), such as Maria Enderton and Emma Clarkson were let go after Rev60 hit IOS and had their names scrubbed from the record.

@Jaimas, I was called in to work early. But here's the Q interview. Wu calls herself an "investigative journalist" (4:30) made me guffaw. She also sounds kind of like a child using buzzwords... Plus, it's funny that she only is in about 1/2 of the 14 minute interview and then it's given over to another feminist. Wu is only given one mention on an "Open Season on Women" article after Jian's exposure.

Jian Ghomeshi did not sexually assault Wu even though he sexually assaulted basically every woman he encountered for years.

Because Wu is not a woman.

John being introduced at Google (Boston)

"Fellow Googlers. Look at this thing. Now since you're glued to your smartphones and have the attention spans of gnats, put them down and attempt to exert a modicum of concentration.

Pay attention for a moment and examine your bias. Your bias is that this is an awkward, confused teenage girl going through a typical, cringe-worthy goth phase. This is in fact, if you actually pay attention for a mere 3 seconds, a mentally-challenged, middle-aged bald dude in a wig and dress having an ongoing personal crisis of epic proportions.

See how you have unconscious bias?

You may go now, freak. Thanks for visiting Google... of Boston. Please do not return."

Okay, this one requires a bit of tech sperging, so bear with me:

Wu is technically correct on this one, as meshes generally aren't half as huge as textures most of the time, given most of the time they are geometric shapes that any mesh worker worth their salt will use as few polygons as possible to form (unless quality is absolutely required for finer detail), but usually, this is correct, as meshes are generally rendered using the CPU, and the video card/graphics chip handles the texture work.

The caveat is that on portable systems, the CPU/GPU tend be one and the same unit, much like a low end gaming PC, and thus even a moderately mesh filled game will tax the computer because it drags down the processing cycles needs to keep the OS running as well, which leaves the textures forced to use the system RAM (which is SLOW) as a fallback, meaning even something really simple like Minecraft can render like ass.

An even better example to use would be Morrowind, a game that can bring even modern systems to their knees depending on the amount of meshes due to the poor optimizations to the NetImmerse engine, which dumps all the work on a single CPU core only, so even a modern PC could be brought to it's knees by a high quality mesh laden mod, even if the graphics card is amazing.

As applied to Wu's own game, assuming Wu's earlier comments about having to use a really inflexible skeletal framework for the characters still hold true, Wu probably bolted a TON of meshes to the frames of the characters, especially if he wanted them to resemble his preferred art style exactly (likely, as the characters like Holiday are miles above everything else in the game in terms of apparent mesh quality), so the tl;dr is that on a system of limited power, the mesh work is optimized very piss poorly and even if Wu managed to port R60 to Apple TV (when it already had framerate drops on iOS), that means the problem would be even worse on an even more limited platform in terms of mesh rendering power.

Note: Wu showed us the mesh framework overlays for the new armor on the character models awhile back in a tweet photo, which only add more mesh details to the characters, which will likely make this problem worse.

Bitch can't even port R60 to PC for Steam.

This Apple TV shit is a pipe dream.
