Jian Ghomeshi did not sexually assault Wu even though he sexually assaulted basically every woman he encountered for years.

Because Wu is not a woman.
I didn't say he did, but I was sure she commented on it because someone asked how he came off to her. (Personality-wise)

I just wish I could find it, but I suck. (:_(

Okay, this one requires a bit of tech sperging, so bear with me:

Wu is technically correct on this one, as meshes generally aren't half as huge as textures most of the time, given most of the time they are geometric shapes that any mesh worker worth their salt will use as few polygons as possible to form (unless quality is absolutely required for finer detail), but usually, this is correct, as meshes are generally rendered using the CPU, and the video card/graphics chip handles the texture work.

The caveat is that on portable systems, the CPU/GPU tend be one and the same unit, much like a low end gaming PC, and thus even a moderately mesh filled game will tax the computer because it drags down the processing cycles needs to keep the OS running as well, which leaves the textures forced to use the system RAM (which is SLOW) as a fallback, meaning even something really simple like Minecraft can render like ass.

An even better example to use would be Morrowind, a game that can bring even modern systems to their knees depending on the amount of meshes due to the poor optimizations to the NetImmerse engine, which dumps all the work on a single CPU core only, so even a modern PC could be brought to it's knees by a high quality mesh laden mod, even if the graphics card is amazing.

As applied to Wu's own game, assuming Wu's earlier comments about having to use a really inflexible skeletal framework for the characters still hold true, Wu probably bolted a TON of meshes to the frames of the characters, especially if he wanted them to resemble his preferred art style exactly (likely, as the characters like Holiday are miles above everything else in the game in terms of apparent mesh quality), so the tl;dr is that on a system of limited power, the mesh work is optimized very piss poorly and even if Wu managed to port R60 to Apple TV (when it already had framerate drops on iOS), that means the problem would be even worse on an even more limited platform in terms of mesh rendering power.

Note: Wu showed us the mesh framework overlays for the new armor on the character models awhile back in a tweet photo, which only add more mesh details to the characters, which will likely make this problem worse.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

It seems likely considering on the Ol' Miss forum someone mentioned Flynt weaseling his way back into the newspaper after the sand nigger incident. I can't imagine not getting kicked out of most colleges for pulling that, let alone managing to get back on the paper without some kind of excuse. Ambien induced delirium could've been integral to avoiding punishment for it.
This might sound crazy, but could it be that John simply made up the whole Ambien addiction as an excuse to weasel his way back into collage? I know that might not sound realistic, to use such a serious lie to get back in, but considering he was already a spoiled shit and that he had no real world experience to check his nutty-ass opinions against, I don't think it's too far fetched. People like John say and believe shit that would make anybody with an ounce of common sense think they were on drugs. They're not though, they just have their heads that far up their asses.

he only learned that after someone pointed to him the stupidity of using 2000x2000 renderers, i remember because he yelled at the guy for mansplaining him this thing, that is why R60 has framerate issues

Nah, we just grabbed yearbook info and such.

Natalie was the one that Brianna Wu claimed was Pregnant, hence the image on her lolcow wiki page. As for Amanda, I've been informed that BriWu met her via Craigslist. About 90% of Giant SpaceKat left the company when their contracts expired, because nobody wanted to work with Brianna Wu. This currently leaves Giant SpaceKat with four employees:

Brianna Wu (Self-Appointed Manifest God and Project Manager)
Amanda Warner ("lead animator" and Project Manager)
Frank Wu (space ship modeler)
Natalie O'Brien (Twitter handler)

....This is the whole team. Two project managers, one of whom is solely known for creating animated logos for companies, a sci-fi artist with minimal modeling skills, and someone who arguably does not exist. The others (credited and otherwise), such as Maria Enderton and Emma Clarkson were let go after Rev60 hit IOS and had their names scrubbed from the record.

I know Natalie doesn't exist because John claimed twice that she was in maternity leave, both where when he was in damage control for something stupid he did, unless Natalie likes to have childrens like a rabbit then thats another thing

Also thanks John i won 10 bucks in Steam betting that you were going to bitch for the lack of womens/POCs in the Apple conference and you were going to announce R60 for X stupid Apple thing that was going to be announced (5 for the bitching and 5 for the announcement of R60) thanks for the new payday 2 dlcs

i should have bought Huniepop just to trigger you :^)

Hey look, someone else active in the field of Twitter addiction:

The old Mel Gibson defense?

It's not hard to imagine Wu claiming an addiction to get out of trouble. With enough money & enough familial support I'm sure he could've gotten a few outbursts written off as "unfortunate medication side effects." The problem is the amount of lying & embellishment Wu engages in makes it nearly impossible to confirm anything, so that's certainly a possibility. Given the things Ol' Miss students mentioned about her, it doesn't seem far fetched the addiction was legitimate though. John also has said that he was once extremely overweight, which can cause obstructive sleep apnea (which I believe is treated with ambien). Combining that with the batshit insanity Flynt exhibits, it doesn't seem unreasonable that he may have been legitimately prescribed ambien at one point.

>Comments add NOTHING to articles
You detract from everything.

>We all have a place to air our feelings about media, on Twitter and FB.
You actively work to censor voices, even entire accounts, on those platforms as well.

>About comments sections: Not all opinions are equal. For professional writers, years have been spent building up their platform and audience
You built your "audience" with a death threat hoax. You have repeatedly failed at your attempts to be a professional writer. See your earlier lie about Mac|Life as one of countless examples. But, true, not all opinions are equal. Yours are less than worthless, for example, because you are very dumb, mean, arrogant, and lie every three words on a good day.

The mass majority of the comments on that Guardian article have been calling Valenti out on her shit, most of them very calmly and reasonably.

Of course, since people like Wu and Valenti can't handle anything less than having their assholes shamelessly licked, no wonder they can't handle even the most respectful dissent.

I'm gonna need that persons contact information, i have a business opportunity from the king of Nigeria just for them.

Calm and reasonable? Why are they on the Guardian?

I just checked a few of Valenti's Guardian articles, almost all of them have as much asinine BS as Wu's tweets usually do and no wonder Valenti is so asshurt over comments, most to all of the articles are filled with wall to wall callouts of the stupid in her writing.

No wonder Wu sympathizes, these two narcissists are birds of a feather when it comes to intolerance of their ignorance being pointed out.

Well those got burned super fast. Wu's getting worse and worse at holding back their meltdowns

Wu burned these last three fast after seeing all the shit he was getting:

Wu wants comments on his terms.png

Archive.is seems to be kinda slow today, so as a backup, I capped everything on the most recent thread page:
