What doesn't Brianna understand about giving everyone their day in court? No matter how obviously guilty we might think someone is, we have to let them present their side of the story, because you better fucking believe that the prosecution will always try to present itself as pure angelic beings being victimized by barely-human monsters who rape and kill for fun.
Justice literally doesn't work without both sides presenting their cases before an unbiased audience.

Hell we even think people like Nick Bate deserve a fair trial, if only for the lulz.

If Rev 60 bombs, Brianna Wu will blame GamerGate and claim oppression. To be completely fair, Rev60 is not unplayable nor offensive on its own, and there is some chance that it is merely "Bad" as opposed to "Bomb". I think the idea of trying to segment the market ideologically and getting people who are "Pro-Causes I try to speak loudly for" to buy the game has worked many times in the past, but generally the Pro-Cause individual is more sincere and the game in question actually supports said cause. A game made to support environmentalism promotes the idea in game, etc.

The game was doomed to bomb financially the moment Brianna decided to be an idiot and pour over $400k into creating it. Her piss-poor management skills, writing, concepts, marketing, and so forth would critically handicap any game but it's the ridiculous amount of money poured into this one mobile game that ultimately kills Rev60. Nothing about it justifies the amount of money spent on it and there is practically no way they can recoup the money spent on it.

I'm a big fan of the Binding of Isaac, it's one of my all time favorite games ever. And you know why? It manages to tell a deep and fairly dark story with barely any dialog in the game at all. It forces you to piece together what's really happening by watching the cryptic endings and thinking everything through. Hell, a lot of info about the story can even be found in some of the random items you find in the game. There was a lot of thought and hard work put into this game, and it makes it fun to play and watch.

Rev60 on the other hand, was clearly only made so that Wu could say she made a game. It's graphincs and framerate are horrible, all the characters are horrifying, and the story somehow manages to be both convoluted and underdeveloped at the same time. Seriously, if you realease an artbook or something that gives you a little extra info on the characters and expands on the history of your world that's totally cool. But if its literally the only way anyone could be able to understand whatever the hell is going on in the plot, especially if you go on and on about how you focus sooo much on storytelling and emotion in your games, then you've failed in almost every way possible.
