One thing that drives me nuts about Wu is that she's genuinely a worse lockdown artist than Dobson.
Revolution 60, for all its fail, comes from a place of love. It may be poorly-executed, technologically inept, and with some of the most slapdash sound editing I've heard, but some parts of it shine with what I feel like Wu herself was trying to accomplish. The character models, though lanky and odd-looking, have a stylized design that's genuinely interesting. Parts of the game's Fluff show a level of competence, especially when Wu can keep her story straight on some of it.
...And yet, we can enjoy none of that, because Wu herself is a miserable shit. Everything about Revolution 60's development and promotion is wrapped in despicable practices, from Wu abusing her employees to open fucking collusion to promote the game. Even the anticipated-so-we-can-eviscerate-it Steam release is wreathed in such practices. Hell, it contains probably the two most blatant example of them all: Her trying to buy off a Steam Admin and the infamous capstone to Brianna Wu on Steam:
It's a bizarre case of a game that might have had more of a chance if it hadn't been, ironically enough, for Wu herself.
