Well Adoptions evil......nuff said.
Lets shut it down and leave all the kids in some kind of camp.

I'm doing some research into the topic but I really don't think the Catholic church was paying mothers for their babies in the 70s when Wu was born. It doesn't make sense for the church to pay someone for something that they are trying to give away already.

Its been confirmed going on as far back as the 1960s (likely has been going on before, certainly post world war two but difficult to prove) in Ireland and Spain (the majority of the 60,000 recorded case are mostly Spanish) but $20,000 to the parents is frankly insane, there churches arrangement fee would be two or three times what the parents recieved.
So your talking $60,000 at least.
Its not so much the church selling your baby its basically the church "arranging" it and getting a finders fee.

The Church has never bought babies. Yes, the Church has charged prospective adopters fees, and kept those, but the Church has never bought babies. It never had to: shame, social ostracism, poverty and threats of damnation were coercive enough to make mothers part with babies.

Look, Wu's birth mother thought she was doing the best thing for her baby at that time. Brianna gets to retcon her whole life with the aid of the retrospectascope and decide her adoptive parents (who have coddled and funded her forever) were apparently no good, but her birth mom didn't have a damn crystal ball and she was trying to do the best she could for her baby. It's grossly unfair to shit on her birth mother for that, who has almost certainly never forgotten the baby she placed for adoption. The idea that moms are just casually dumping babies for the lolz and for money is absolute bullshit, and I expect better from someone who identifies so loudly as a feminist. You don't get to opt out of the reproductive justice parts of feminism just because you don't have a functional uterus and ovaries. "Your feminism will be intersectional or it will be bullshit", no? Fine. Mothers are part of that intersectional feminism. Shit on them less.

I try my hardest to keep my head down and just watch but god damn Brianna, no one is going to let you recon the fact your parents disowned you for being an awful person

A ransom?

Just pay it. Wu gets thousands to do nothing but bitch on twitter, can afford gaudy motorcycles to live out fantasies of being Holiday and has every piece of junk chucked out by Apple. There is no way she cannot afford that.

Also I prefer to think Wu's birth parents were prophets, saw a future of nothing but whining on this 'twitter' thing, thought "fuck that noise" and sold the baby.

There are so many adopted children out there of Wu's age and older who would give anything to be able to access well-kept records of their birth parent(s). They would pay ISIS, never mind the Catholic Church, if they held that information. And she can afford the payment. She could have this information in weeks if she really wanted it. It pisses me off that she is chronically unable to recognise her own privileges in life (wealth! class! more wealth!) whilst calling everyone in the world out on theirs.

If you want to contact your birth mom, pay the money for the info and find her that way. The idea that your birth mom is spending day and night on Twitter following obscure trans feminists in the faint hope of coming across info that will lead her to the baby son she placed for adoption is such bullshit that even you, Brianna, must realise at least dimly that this is nothing but middle-school attention-seeking pish. Don't make out that Twitter trolls are keeping you from "muh family"; it's just incredibly fucking dismissive of other adoptees who are seeking birth family and have no leads and no resources for the search.

My biological mother sold me to family of religious extremists through Catholic Church - who couldn't tolerate a child with different views

Personally, I want to know why my mom sold me for $20k.

I wrote Catholic Church that arranged my adoption in 2009 and asked for my biological mom’s info. They have a ransom I have to pay to get it.

The BullshitForce is strong in you, ObiJohn.

So now it's GamerGate's fault that a baby John Flynt was dropped on the church's doorstep by a horrified mother however many years ago.

Good on you for calling her out on this latest tirade of bullshit. Brianna whining about the pains of being adopted is about as disingenuous as her whining about the pains of being a woman in the tech industry. By the looks of it, Brianna was practically the perfect case scenario that very few adopted children get to experience - she was brought up by two wealthy, loving parents who gave her just about everything she could have wanted. Her trying to make them into monsters really bothers me. Monsters don't put their children through rehab, pay their way through college, fund their uptown lifestyle in one of the most expensive cities in the country, lend them $200k to start their "dream" business (oh, and don't forget taking on the responsibilities of the additional expenses accrued when said business failed), and so on. I'm even willing to bet that they weren't even bothered by her homosexuality when she was living as a gay man.

About the only thing in her rant I'm somewhat forgiving of is what she wrote about her birth mother as misinformed/stupid as it is. Even adopted kids who live perfect lives can still harbor some resentment towards their birth parents. That's to be expected. The anti-Catholic part of it is dumb but her having issues about her birth mother giving her up is not.

I’ve thought about posting hospital/date I was born on Twitter to find my biological parents. But Gamergate makes that impossible. :(

Drat! Foiled by "Gamergate" again! They won't let you post anything personal online!

...except your birthdate, home address, email address, telephone number, "maiden" name, college name, your college major, your home state, where you've lived, details of your medical procedures, anniversary date, name of your "spouse", name of your pets, your pets' medical conditions, what you eat, what you own, your opinions on everything, personal photos of you/Frank/the rat dogs, names of your "friends", your precise time and locations at Cons to "hang out", trips you're taking, your supposed "hobbies", what games you play, what movies you watch, your sales figures, your investment amounts, Frank's ex-wife's name... all of which you and Frank volunteer to the world, without prompting, via Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, LiveJournal, and your domain name records.

You're so hemmed in and "terrified" of "harassment" and "death threats" by "Gamergate". Damn those dirty bastards to hell! Otherwise we could solve this whole ransomed baby mystery, make Rev60 the top-selling game, start a legal foundation, port to PC etc etc.

Maybe Wu hatched from an egg like in the "Super Mario Bros" Movie. Maybe she's actually a highly evolved dinosaur.. It would explain that face of hers...

So what amuses her, that she's pretending to be above it, or that she has all of it and isn't sharing?
