A minor note but it appears that Wu has removed cosmodrome.org from their twitter profile and the site itself hasn't been updated in quite a while so it looks like another unsuccessful launch for Giant Space Kat.

Nah, it's got plenty of life left in it. With an Alexa rank of 2,850,202, it's only just a bit below yementourism.com - an empty placeholder website with a rank of 1,505,991. Is a placeholder website for tourism in a terrorist hell hole really more popular than Cosmodrome? Probably.

The thing I like the most is the way the logo has "By Brianna Wu" on it. As if that's means something. From what I gather, it's a news aggregator that provides no ability to comment on stories or in any way manage them. It's like a Twitter feed, minus the ability to do anything useful. It has absolutely no reason to exist.

I'd bone an anita over any of them but zoe seems like the most fun to hang out with I forget exactly which one is rani and the other one or what they look like.

Anita is just attractive enough that she'd starfish in silent judgement while you put in the work. Zoe, while insane, would at least be driven by her BPD to make sure you had a good time.

I'm about to gag on Wu's ego and hubris:

I am officially triggered and need a moment to find an appropriate image macro to express how I feel about this statement.

(The fact the screenshot Wu uses to display is that of an SM villain character seems oddly appropriate)

@Jaimas - Archiving all this will prove quite useful for cross-referencing with John Flynt's weeaboo obsession with SM.
I really wish I was on a computer to do this more justice but...

Rev 60's designs being based on Sailor Moon shows that Wu has absolutely no eye for aesthetics. The Sailor Senshi uniforms all have a very striking design, not gaudy enough to turn someone away immediately, but colorful and artsy enough to easily distinguish them. The color coordination also helps too. All of Rev 60's designs are basically different kinds of fetish fuel, and generic animu ones at that if you want to br generous.

Also, this is just my personal opinion, but exaggerated animu proportions work well in 2D animation style but when you try to do it in 3D it just looks really weird and uncanny.

As someone who's actually been to Japan, there aren't many real girls there who are size 8-12. Japanese girls are skinny, get over it.

Or the models of the show. Sailor Moon characters have a very broad appeal, so much so that they've had vast impact on subsequent anime and Western animation. The Rev 60 characters look like creepy stick insects of some sort. They're just not appealing. They may be fetish fuel of some sort, but it's to some weird, creepy self-fetishization of Brianna Wu, who has never drawn characters that don't look like these ugly-ass Rev 60 things.

Go back as far as that stupid-ass "Martin Luther King" thing (which was also racist as hell) and you see the same ugly stick women.

I'm not sure whether I like this or should be horrified by it.

All I know is that sticking your dick in crazy is a good way to get your life ruined.

So, just that I get that right:
The CEO of a game studio, that released a game on iOS is asking on Twitter, if any of her followers knows where to get anime-style-body references for female characters.

Anime, arguably one of the most (if not the most) popular and prevalent art style today. This art style is so widespread, you can't surf any art related website without stumbling over it. If you enter "anime body references" into google, you immediately get a couple of different body references for most ages. If you search for manga and anime styles you get hit by dozens of different interpretations. Heck, if you - yes you! - lay back, close your eyes and think about different anime styles, you can probably can come up with three different shows you liked as a kid and then note them down, to later check on how they depict the human physique of younger people.

And here we have the CEO of a game studio whose 'art gal' is apparently not allowed to order a 'How to draw anime'-book on Amazon or simply use Google. No wonder the characters of her game look like dead-eyed, melted barbie dolls, with their outfit painted onto their bodies, if she is asking this question now... on Twitter. If I had to guess, they probably downloaded a public domain 3D-model (or used the standard one) and messed around it in Blender for a while.

Edit: (Spelling, lots and lots of spelling)

Yeah turns out Japanese people haven't normalised obesity… on average Japanese women are 50 pounds lighter than American women (115 vs 166).

Funny someone suggesting Genshiken though, it's literal problematic otaku trash (just how I like my trash). A show about the Japanese version of 4chan browsing anime nerds. Oh and the second season the main character is a crossdresser.

Someone else also suggested Princess Jellyfish, which also has a prominent trans character that would be a problematic representation by Wu's standards. Funny.

It's part of her attempt to pivot from the hard work of being a game dev to the easy work of being an industry personality. She's trying to duplicate John Gruber who is a famous mac "link blogger" Daringfireball.net, just posts links with a sentence or paragraph. To be fair the format predates Twitter and his is only still popular because it's been going so long, he has a podcast too like Wu.

Obviously that sort of format isn't going to be successful if you're launching in 2015, I'd imagine it had a strong first day and then a complete drop off. Not to mention her commentary was absolutely atrocious Facebook tier stuff.

I can't shake the feeling she's a bit salty because she's never been invited on his podcast despite being able to win over almost every other major mac tech nerd he seems to completely ignore her. 6 Tweets from Her to him, and 0 tweets from him to her. I actually think she's deleted some of them because I have a vague memory of her calling him out for only having men on his podcast then the next week he had his first woman guest but didn't acknowledge her tweet at all.
To add insult to injury, it's not really that hard to find fat anime characters. Genshiken being one of them.
