I'm a bit late here but what is Wu talking about in regards to rights for Transgender people?
They can legally change their gender so what's the problem?
It's funny because the last person who thought he was Batman was Jack Thompson. Why do people who hate video games keep comparing themselves to Batman?
Actually, if you look into it, it's pretty obvious that the Riddler Gamergate joke was making fun of Brianna Wu herself, which is probably why Wu hates the game now. After all, it's an egomaniacal psychopath running puff-pieces trying to paint her opposition as naught but a common criminal, the result was the tubernets going "dude, it's Batman, he's saved thousands of lives, stop being a fucking moron." And thus, Riddler is apoplectic, because, like Wu, he believes himself the smartest individual on earth but it doesn't matter if no one recognizes his genius.
Thats not really to do with rights though? It sounds more like a criminal matter. From what I gather, the main issue regarding Trans rights is the insanely high rate of violence against Trans individuals.

Exactly. As far as I can tell, trans people have more or less the same rights as anyone else under the US law. Social Acceptance is beyond the realm of the government.I think it's "rights" in regards to "the right to not live in fear of being attacked or murdered for what you are".
Which, as you said, is not so much a legal issue as it is a social issue.
I would say that the government should try to avoid trans people being victims of crime (such as murder and assault) just as a form of overall crime reduction. But aside from that it isn't the governments business what people think of trans peopleExactly. As far as I can tell, trans people have more or less the same rights as anyone else under the US law. Yes, and the original Enterprise was basically a space-going fedora.Shatner is a spacechad who proks blue chicks to get Vulcan hi5s from spacebro Spock
9/10. Best one since CatParty. Well-done.Actually, so far I haven't exactly figured out what Gamergate is about. What I understand is that it is a kind of movement of videogame-loving boys who don't like girls trespassing into their play corner, turning everything pink, infecting everyone with cooties and playing house instead of fighting aliens. That said, I don't exactly want to learn more because I'm too old for playground fights.

Totally, which isn't a rights issue as she seems to be trying to make it. It's a fucktards attacking people issue which stems from a cultural issue. So uh-- someone make a Will and Grace for trans people and we'll be on our way. From what I gather, the main issue regarding Trans rights is the insanely high rate of violence against Trans individuals.
