5. Fallout 4, and this is what Wu has to say:

Does anyone have any examples of emotion from characters in Rev60 they'd like to share?

Because this is sounding like Wu being jelly because Fallout has built a coherent, extensive lore and that people like it.

Wu criticizing Fallout for shitty characters? Where have I seen a game that also has shitty characters?

Shitting on Fallout 4, sequel to a beloved franchise, for reasons that aren't based on anything we even know about the game? Sure why not, that's almost guaranteed to get a reaction from those dang male gamers!

Wu is possibly one of the greatest internet trolls there ever was.

Or detail. Copypasting your entire cast sounds like the exact opposite of detail.

Nah, penis envy 101.

Who needs good "combat systems" and solid gameplay mechanics when you have love and emotion?

Why not have both and play one of the last gen GTA's?

To be honest, I thought she'd be saying that Boston is only the setting to appease masturbatory fantasies of Gamergaters that want to see her get nuked. We already know she's a ghoul so there's no point really...

Nah, penis envy 101.

Pfft, that's John's own fault, he should have kept it if he was that bothered!

Wu's just angry because a one quest, throwaway character in Fallout has more depth, personality and emotion than any one of her characters.
I usually hate spouting memes and internet speak but... she jelly.

You can kill prostitutes in GTA and that's patriarchical

Though you don't have to. It's like offering choice is so against the constraints of feminism(!) (actual feminism, not this Internet shit)

Wu's complaints about combat systems and combat in games in general is idiotic when you consider that's basically one of the greatest reasons Rev60 is boring as hell.

Final Fantasy VIII has a really ridiculous, even nonsensical story at times, but it did have a combat system that was fun to strategize with, and having played and beaten it several times, I was able to tune out the story since the gameplay was pretty damn fun (and Triple Triad made a great game in itself) and Deus Ex, despite it's great story and gameplay that let you play however you wanted, had hilariously bad character animation and oft laughable voice acting ("A BOMB.", anyone?).

The problem is that Rev60's main draw is a story that focuses heavily on combat to save it where the dialogue doesn't, and since it's already proven the dialogue and characters suck, you'd hope the gameplay would be fun enough to let you not care.

Nope. You're essentially on rails, unable to play how you please, the combat system has no variation, just a series of QTEs that will be replaced by the even more boring typing interface, and having an intense loathing of QTE's (mercifully rare and simple in FF8 and none I recall in DX) and an even more intense loathing of typing games, there is nothing about Rev 60 that would inspire me to give a damn about it.

who the hell cares about emotions in videogames, seriously why he is so obssesed about that?, na nevermind the answer is obvious is because with emotions you dont need gameplay, without gameplay less work, with less work more time on twitter to whine about stuff no one care is perfect

i want a example of a game that uses "emotions" as a main mechanic probably shovelware

He's so obsessed with emotion in games because shitting on actual game play works actual gamers into a frenzy and draws more attention to Wu. Wu has almost nothing valid to say about gaming whatsoever, but they do know exactly what to post to upset spergy gamers on the internet. Wu's asspatters, who also hate dang dirty male gamers for whatever reason, see that she has succeeded in pissing off the intended target and enjoy it, rewarding Wu with adulation disguised as agreement that games should have no game play.

I briefly wondered what's the difference, but then I realised that there's no point discussing anything John says.

No, John. If you ran DC, you would find that Sonichu's production rate outstripped your own.

Harley's outfit can be a representation of her nature in accordance to being a follower of the Joker. It wouldn't matter if she had her original costume or her newer one. As for Harley and Poison Ivy, it's only a bestseller if one writes it well. It's one thing to ship two characters but it's another thing to make pull of right.

That is the best way to sum up Harley. She is (or can also be if this part is different) a representation of the sort of person that ends up going back to a sort abusive relationship, falling in love with a manipulative figure that is a psycopath and/or a sociopath.

So there's a Fallout 4 coming? First I heard of it!

Of course this has been yet another "I Don't know what the everloving goty fuck I'm pissing about" post. Fallout and Skyrim and such aren't even devoid of emotions but they're simple for a reason: open-endedness. With rather simple quest layouts it's easy to back out of something or take another route or even walk along while being talked to. Or you could humourously ditch a character while they go on about something just before they're attacked by the local monsters.

And you know what? It makes life easier for modders too.

Of course if R60 had any emotion weight to anything at all ever or set up likable characters then that tweet wouldn't be as big a problem.

4. How about no

Does Wu just want Harley/Poison Ivy to be a thing because she ships that, or because she has no idea that Batwoman exists? Because if she really needs to read a DC comic with a lesbian relationship for feminist points, there already is (imo) a pretty good one.

Also, I guarantee you that somewhere on tumblr some SJW has referenced those same two pages while whining about "queerbaiting."
