To be fair, some genres of games are still quite Eurocentric. The greater proportion of games out there with historical or fantasy settings tend to emphasize European or otherwise "Western" history. There have always been some which tried to be multicultural (e.g. Civilization or Guild Wars), but they're not exactly the norm yet.
At the same time, most AA game developers are still in Western countries where white people are demographically predominant. Of course they're going to be biased towards Western history. If African countries had the same thriving game development industry, we'd see a lot more games with African settings, and so on.
