In all of this I'm curious about what his parents have to say about this. Like what kind of a childhood would produce a man who can only find validation by groveling and crying?
He mentions in his Susan's Place posts that his parents disowned him and want nothing to do with him. Given his history its hard to tell whether that's the truth or something he made up for sympathy.

Don't blame them. I don't think they known what he was planning on using all that "anonymous " donations for. "Be like hey son hows that game going?" "I used most of it to chop off my dick and now spend most of my time lying on twitter aren't ya proud?"
I think this is the first time Wu has actually interacted with a GGer who wanted some level of direct confrontation and all it did was end with some guy leaving the room in a huff. She had to add the "was worried it might have been an IED" thing despite it being of no importance because god forbid this event come off as just slightly disruptive and not suggest a level of "I'm scared for my life".
The IED comment is what gets me the most. I don't think the proper procedure for dealing with a potential explosive is for some street level cop or campus security guard to remove it by hand. Seeing as, when dealing with a bomb, you do not touch or move the object in any way.Oh look, I can source that.
There was no evacuation. No bomb squad called in. No one except Wu-tastic thought it was an IED. Did she even voice this "concern" out loud or was that just an afterthought tacked onto the tweet to make it seem like a dire situation? I guess this "viral video" could tell.
Looking through this mess makes me want to ask why did he make a game if anything he really wanted to make a movie or visual novel with the level of "game play" I seen this had.
Wu doesn't have any idea how to make a game and all her friends consider themselves creatives and in wu's world owning a company means hiring friends. For whatever reason they scrapped the game part of the game at least once and it looks like that maria did most of the coding. I have a feeling the gameplay mechanics were chosen because nobody else had strong opinions on how they should work but they all contributed requirements for everything else. She simply chose what she knew she could get done and out of the way given the massive list of other shit she had to do.

I need to see this video. Let's be sure to host it ourselves when it comes out we don't need her getting a clicksboner or taking it down if it's hilarious.
It sounds like the spergy guy left of his own accord so saying the police got involved in her initial tweet is kind of misleading. Seems like all they probably did was say '"No sir, you cannot go back and get your backpack"
I hope she was up on the podium talking about being afraid of his backpack but I doubt it. I hope she spends hours coming up with the perfect title for her video when she uploads it and then gets told to f-off by all the media contacts she's burned since this whole thing started.
I forget why but at one point I had read something that gave me the feeling we're looking at what was frank's nest egg. Given that they live completely off his paycheck, he provided all his money for her company, they live for free in his brother's property, and the boss has to grant permission for him to do fun stuff like his driving a tank adventure. I have to wonder if he might be telling the truth that he was pushed around by his ex and not the other way around.
Who would give someone so much money when they've already failed one company and couldn't graduate college? Especially in the day and age when successful indy games are made with zero funding in people's spare time. Cave story strikes me as an extreme example, 5 years and one dude who already had a full time job as an office drone doing ERP or some shit. Music, pictures, programming, levels and story, the whole deal. If she hadn't made a spectacle of herself I'd say that she'd be able to turn her failed company into a great career somewhere, failing a startup, being a "startup dev" and being "lead game developer" are all great things to have on a resume. Once upon a time nobody would see it coming when she dug her claws in somewhere and used a bunch of dirty tricks to entrench her position but she's exposed herself in her attempts to use gamergate to promote her game. Even her staunchest advocates from the SJW nepotism network would be met with skepticism from someone else in hiring her for a senior position so they'd probably get rid of her as soon as she proved her naysayer correct in any fashion... even other SJWs don't like her at this point.
Then again it's fucking amazing to me that she's left so much destruction in her wake and yet she still managed to sucker frank and after embarrassing her allies she's still managing to get some unwarrented press and speaking engagements, so maybe there is always a sucker to drift to next.
I see what you're getting at, but I'm not losing any sleep over it tbh. At heart, Wu is a victim. I don't think she'd ever do anything to another person that could jeopardize her narrative of victimization. I think she's just smart enough to know that her getting busted for making shit up has leveled some serious skepticism at her claims of "oppression". I'd be willing to bet she'll try very hard to antagonize, but she won't act against someone directly.
It's been awhile, but the IED thing made my brain hurt so I logged on here.
Many people more notable that Wu get harassed at live Q&As. They can handle it like her, or they can handle it like a BOSS. You tell me what is more effective. (Prob should note this video actually went viral.)
This is supposed to be a feminist game, right? What exactly is "feminist" about it??
It seems to be a trite run-of-the-mill scifi story and the characters are prime examples of unrealistic body designs. As someone here said, they look rather similar to Bratz
I think Brianna Wu is convinced that simply making a game with playable girl characters is by definition "feminist", because, you know, there have never been any games with female playable characters, women are always just for decoration in games, because the gaming industry is full of sexist dude bros and Anita Sarkeesian said so in a video, so it must be true.
If someone wants to make a feminist game, they should create one based on Lenore Goldberg's Girl Commandos by Robert Crumb.

Weird thing to harp on, I know, but....
That sound design. Oh God, that sound design....
It goes beyond simply cliche, it's really fucking annoying and kinda painful.
Add in voice acting that's not so much phoned in as it is openly butchered, and you have a truly awful game.

the visual design is the thing that gets me about the game, the entire thing is just a mess of different texture qualities and clashing nonsensical colour. the combat as well, the vast majority of the actual game-play is spent doing that and it's just mindless monotony. it's unfortunate that no one with any sense will touch Rev60 for fear of the backlash from SJWs/GG. i would have LOVED to see Jim Sertling do a Squirty Plays of the PC port
One thing i've been meaning to ask people more familiar with Wu, has Wu ever acknowledged that she is trans?

I said this in Smutley's playthrough thread, but I think it bears repeating here.
Sometimes you'll see something so weird on the internet that it just sticks out in your mind for whatever reason. Well, ages ago I happened upon this CGI gay porn flick about superheroes or something. It was some of the strangest porn I've ever seen, but the graphics in that years old porn looked exactly like the graphics in R60. So every time I see anything R60 related I'm reminded of that fucked up superhero porn. Only R60 has a bunch of vaginas instead of penises.
No, she either avoids addressing it or outright denies it. Which falls in line with her history of trying to distance herself from her birth gender as much as possible. I don't have the link on hand, but she used to be a (horrible) moderator on a trans-support forum and would ridicule the members who acknowledged their birth gender. That's where we got the "women appreciate a man who has the good sense to chop off his penis" quote.
