Oh for fucks sake. I step away for a day and I miss seeing the ouroboros in action.

EDIT : My reaction to all of this.

Yes! Yes! Of course occurring the moment I read the "At least we can stop pretending to like Brianna Wu." tweet

To me, however, there is one great final test to see if they have truly gone all ouroboros on her (Revolutions eat their heroes and such) will Dobbs turn on her?

Of course in Ghazi's eyes he's guilty just because he was accused.
Yeah. I'm not pro or anti GG, but the pro-GGs just act like obnoxious red pill weens who we can just ignore as the usual "I hate women because they won't do me" crowd. The anti-GG people fight tooth and nail against any criticism of them and their leaders. Rumor has it that if you listen to an anti-GG video in reverse you can hear "Four legs good, two legs bad".

Ladies line up, we got us a certified "nice guy" here.
It's ok to make fun of women when they act like retards. Anything less would be sexist.

The Boston Globe article by Brianna I've previously mentioned has been published. There's nothing really interesting about it, except for some GamerGate bashing which doesn't sit well with Brianna drinking coffee with Wardell:

[T]he true purpose of Gamergate is to intimidate outspoken women into silence by any means necessary. [...] What’s going on in the game industry is not a mystery to me — it’s a rehash of the violent identity politics I saw while I was growing up in Mississippi, a state Martin Luther King Jr. famously described as “sweltering with the heat of oppression.” [...] These adult gamers are deeply angry at women and see us as outsiders trying to take control of their hobby. And they enjoy harassing us as if they were playing another game. [...] Gamergate is the rock bottom of sexism in the tech industry.

"Hey ya'll, I just had a great time drinking coffee with a member of the gamer version of the KKK! He's such a swell guy!"

I dunno, I think I'd be just as angry about men 'in the industry' if they pulled this kind of shit, but clearly I am the minority.

You can't really divorce the two. This has been discussed ad infinitum, but the TL;DR is that the bulk of this was caused by an SJW mindset that decided that a plurality of markets was bad and that the gamer identity, as a whole, had to die because Adrienne Shaw was unable to comprehensively prove that games cause misogyny (because they fucking don't). When Shaw tried to prove that inclusion was a problem, her own research disproved that identity issues were considered a major problem by the bulk of the userbase:

Thanks for the videos. I've watched a few videos from Sargon of Akkad and he puts out informative content (Even if I think he does get a little too heated in some of his videos).
Guess I should start catching up on what's been happening.

Seems to me that wu's defense of her shitty game is that we should lower our expectations because a woman made it.

It seems like Ghazi mods cleaned a lot of shit said about Wu and wrote off anyone who was upset with Wu as gamergaters. Gamerghazi is back to telling Wu what a strong woman she is for dealing with.. whatever it is she's dealing with. I mean, for a person who is scared for her life she has no problem constantly talking about all the places she's going to go to.

I couldn't agree more.

As a feminist and a public figure (really? I don't think so, but let's say I am for argument's sake.) I travel frequently to speak about my cause and to promote legislation at the state and federal levels. I travel alone because I am not wealthy and my husband doesn't get unlimited PTO. (I've never felt the need for....security.) That being said, as a precaution I only speak in generalities about my travel schedule, or post about it after the fact. This isn't because I fear for my life, it is because I am a responsible person on social media.

Not taking it.

I'm neutral of all this drama but let me tell you that I found many more ProGG that are actually willing to listen the other side than regular anti-GG. KiA, while laughable at times, is generally reasonable enough and with people willing to listen or that ae not just MRA or channers, but people also worry about social issues but feel that people like Wu, Zoe or Anita are not helping or making things worse in the long run. I was surprised, when I enter KiA months ago, that many people actually called out the MRA terms like red pill or other shit as other sites or communities paint them as boderline "holocaust deniers".

The ProGG side still has a lot of problems like getting salty for shitty comic book stuff, or taking Milo alliance as granted or "postmodernism/marxism/feminism is ruining x". But they are not outright hostile as aGGros seem to be with anyone that says something that don't agree with it.

Wu is in the dining room, finishing an interview with a filmmaker for a documentary about Gamergate, GTFO,
debuting this spring at the South by Southwest festival in Austin. Earlier in the day, she had met with a prospective ghostwriter who wants to tell her life story. But one of Wu's friends in the gaming industry has suggested that her story may be more complicated than she lets on--that as bad as the situation has been for Wu, she "wasn't dragged" into it. "She taunted Gamergate for weeks," this woman continued, who asked that her name be withheld. "She baited them, and then they finally came after her, which is exactly what she wanted them to do."

Kinda looks like s/he had facial reconstruction surgery around the lip area. Could be it's always been in there but this dynamic lighting kind of exacerbates it.
It's nice to see someone writing an article that's more speculative than just kissing Wu's saggy man-ass, though.

It's funny how much of an irredeemable jerk that article paints her as. "After her wealthy adoptive parents, whom she had despised since birth, spared no expense to save her life from a self-inflicted downward spiral of drug abuse, she repaid them by cutting all ties! You go, girl!"
When really, the truth of the matter, that she was disowned for being transgender, might have earned her some actual sympathy. This is what we call an unforced error.

Funny, I've been trying to find a ghost writer for two years, despite being a writer myself. I already have a concrete deal to be published if someone would assist me with the more emotional aspects, which can be difficult to write about with about breaking into real emotional distress.

I once asked my psychologist why I can speak about my experiences, but writing is insanely difficult. He pointed out to me that during lectures I am in control and can move on from a subject at will. Writing a book forces me to relive massive amounts of trauma.... So, I won't be cashing in any time soon, despite promises of publication if I, or a third party, could produce a body of work.

Real life.... Please, enjoy it as much as I do. *bows*
