But seriously, we're talking about idiots driven by ideology, not reason, and one of their senior members denounced Big Brother (in their mind) publicly, so of course having a civil meeting with Eastasia (they have always been at war with Eastasia) is the breaking point.

Bizarrely, this is actually something a sensible person would do to advance the cause Wu is a part of, assuming it was grounded on firm principle, sound logic, and a honest desire for change.

Either Wu acquired some brain cells and the fanatics are confused Wu isn't chanting the same tune the hive mind is used to, or tried changing tactics, it backfired, and this is furious backpedaling while trying to not to look too much of hypocrite.

Regardless, it's sowing hilarious discord in the ranks Wu aligned with, and I'm quite entertained by it.

This is just about the oddest damage control I've ever seen. She claims to be all for civil conversations with those she disagrees with, but then says that Brad has hurt a lot of people and makes some weird, insulting(???) comment about it being necessary to talk to Republicans/Libertarians. She apologizes in one post, but then defends her actions by demanding that people respect her actions.
I've never liked Wu, but it's almost sad to see this kind of damage control. She's been flinging her own crap around for so long, I don't think she knows how to deal with some of it being flung back.

As someone who previously had no emotion invested in GamerGate (and still think it's just a dumb twitter slapfight over a non-issue), I must say that in terms of sheer organization and diplomacy the GGer's make themselves look A LOT better than the anti's ever did. One side disables all dissent and sees "solidarity" as devouring those who don't follow in lockstep, the other doesn't. I think when it comes to sheer self-confidence, let alone professionalism, it's easy to see which side comes off as more likable and trustworthy.

Gamerghazi is back to telling Wu what a strong woman she is for dealing with.. whatever it is she's dealing with. I completely agree with this post. GGers do look a whole lot better than Anti-GGers.
That being said, GamerGate is really starting to lose its focus. It seems to me that majority of GamerGaters have turned towards dealing with SJWs rather than focusing on journalism. I don't really pay attention to GamerGaters anymore though so maybe I'm wrong. The most I do is just have a chuckle at people like Brianna and good old Bob.

The trouble is SJW is all wrapped up in the issues. Most of the targeted "journalists" are heavy SJWs.

Right now its impossible to have a discourse with "Games Journalism" without SJW input so no matter how its approached SocJus will rear its ugly head and butt in.

Plus lets be real; the SJW's are way more fun to play with then some asinine, self-important game bloggers. And when the 3rd wave Femi-nazi's chime in we got us a FUN.

(FUN in the same way Dwarf Fortress is fun but still....good times.)

Keep it up, Wu. Somewhere deep inside I do believe you meant to be taken seriously as a game designer, despite all the excuses and all the embellishments along the way. Revolution 60 was to be your baby, and you wanted to see it grow. However, you decided to use devious tactics to earn favor. You have nurtured a culture of people that would rather writhe and proclaim being victimized instead of working their problems and becoming better, stronger people. You did your dance for the cameras and you cried your tears for the bleeding hearts. But then, that niggling part inside of you, the part that wanted to be taken seriously as a game developer spoke up. And you are beginning to realize just what a pile of volatile horseshit you have allowed to fester upon your doorstep. In time, as you ebb ever closer to hitting 40, you will look back at your fractured dreams, shredded by the monster you released with your own hands. You will realize you will never be taken seriously as a game designer- your greatest achievement will have been providing succor to the weak-willed and the easily irritable until they too lashed out at you for having the gall of acting like a human being. You did not achieve the idea of promoting women working in game design, you have only nurtured the idea that the only way to be seen is to take upon the role of a shrieking shrew and pray that someone will pay attention to you. You will not be remembered as a game designer, you will only become a cautionary tale to both sides of this farcical conflict.
