That being said, GamerGate is really starting to lose its focus. It seems to me that majority of GamerGaters have turned towards dealing with SJWs rather than focusing on journalism. CEO of a company accused of sexual harassment, all the games journos jumped on the bandwagon, the claims ended up being dismissed as total bullshit.

She also claimed battery. Sites like Kotaku ran the story without fact checking. There was a counter suit and they ended up settling under the condition she made an apology. Here's his reasoning from an interview.

Eh, the journalism thing is still being pushed pretty hard. Just this past week, GDC had to change their official twitter hash tag twice because we kept flooding it with proof of them fixing awards and various other corruption.

You can't really divorce the two. This has been discussed ad infinitum, but the TL;DR is that the bulk of this was caused by an SJW mindset that decided that a plurality of markets was bad and that the gamer identity, as a whole, had to die because Adrienne Shaw was unable to comprehensively prove that games cause misogyny (because they fucking don't). When Shaw tried to prove that inclusion was a problem, her own research disproved that identity issues were considered a major problem by the bulk of the userbase:




Sorry about the double-post, but you're only allowed two videos per post. The TL;DR however is that the "Gamer is Dead" barrage all traces itself back to one unifying source, and that unifying source happens to be none other than the SJWs themselves.

Does she have any self-awareness? :lol: If you ask anyone for one word to describe Brianna Wu, it sure as shit wouldn't be "pragmatic" or "diplomatic".

I want to feel a tiny bit of sympathy for her, if only because she's being turned on by people she thought she was in league with. Betrayal sucks, and she's now dealing with harassment from former buddies, which has to hurt a lot more than when it comes from some random trolls. But she made her own bed and she'll have to sleep in it.

I agree, this is the most likely outcome of all this. I really don't see Wu turning a 180 and supporting GG, because she's probably smart enough to know no one will forgive her for her previous bullshit. R60 is obviously going to flop and my guess is she'll loudly exit right after that happens, retreating to some career path unrelated to gaming where she can still beg for SJW attention and pitybux.

Subreddit mods don't have the ability to shadowban, only reddit admins can do that, because it's site-wide. Mods can subreddit-ban and report users to the admins for suspected "brigading" though (a shadowbannable offense), which is not unique to Ghazi at all.

It is not really betrayal; Wu has no allegiance apart from himself. He'd as soon sell his whole SJW cavalcade if the price is right.

This. When Wu first threw herself into the whole GG thing she was willing to talk to Milo so some kind of common ground could be found between pro and antis, or so she claimed. They arranged the interview and.. she didn't show up. She had apparently bailed on Milo so she could do some interviews for larger media where she then went on to talk about fearing for her life. Wu has no problem fucking over the people she claims she's fighting for or says she wants to work with.

I had a really bullshit day yesterday. I had a nice long sleep, made myself a strong cup of coffee and got to sit down to a nice big slice of schadenfreude for breakfast. Thanks Brianna Wu!
