Wow, just because she made a truce with a developer does not mean she was speaking on their behalf. They are acting as though she made a truce for everyone in the antiGG movement. Just comes to show how much loyalty those people have if you even merely appear to moderate your view
 
I hope this blows up into something bigger. Tired of sitting around and waiting for R60 to come out so it can be unanimously panned.

Also I've never seen women seriously set back in tech. Our lead dev as well as one of our operations heads are both women.. our chief legal counsel... Our head of marketing this is a 200 person tech company that is highly respected.
the only gripe could possibly be the ceo is not a woman.


My last company had a boss who admitted he was nicer to women and he made out with an old lady who had hots for him ans begged those present not to speak of it or his hot wife that he had.kids with would leave him until another woman in the dept spilled the beans and was coorabated... None of the women in the dept did much work at all and pretty much never did anything harder than password reset. Naturally my childfree status made me gay &/or immature in his eyes
his wife never found out but whayever.
No matter who you are it sucks to be you sometimes.

It's not hard to find such a situation to pair with every anecdote of mansplaining

I'm only familiar with the first person... David "HeCameForGamerGate" Gallant. He's an indie game developer who got himself involved in GG by deciding to withhold steam keys of his game from GG supporters who paid for it. Judging by his friendship with Patricia Hernandez*, he seems to have found his place in the indie dev-gaming journos clique. While he's not an important person for normal people, he's relatvely important for anti-GG folks. And yes, he is indeed calling Brianna out, those tweets are real. Gallant has described Wu's action as "a slap in the face to those who've been targetted by Wardhell and his legion of minions."

Are there actually GG members coming out to defend Brianna? I'm a GG supporter and I ain't gonna defend Brianna at all for this Romney-esque flip flop. In her infamous Bustle article (the one with "Mr President, tear down these Wheels!") she called GamerGate a hate group, a term usually reserved for such groups as the KKK and the Westboro Baptist Church. According to Brianna Wu, allying with Wardell is tantamount to allying with a Klansman. No matter what your take on GG is, Brianna Wu is a huge hypocrite.

*Full disclosure: I edited that article under the handle 'Rust Cohle' and was also the one who added the info about Gallant's friendship with Hernandez.
 
I recently read a fantasy book called Memories of Ice, which featured a cannibal army called the Tenescowri. These were peasants that were kept starved and used as expendable fodder, throwing themselves at cities, raping and devouring their inhabitants.

But holy shit, these 'friends' Brianna has make the Tenescowri look like novices. After months of delusional behavior, including false bomb threats and trying to get the president to arrest a guy for disagreeing with her, and THIS is what turns Wu's allies on her? My goodness, with allies like that, who needs enemies? Wu's going to have to damage control hard if she doesn't want to be eaten alive by those friends of hers.

I saw like one tweet defending her, but I'm pretty sure it was a joke, it referred to her as being GG now. But yeah, I agree, nobody should be defending her at this point, it'd just be interesting to see her turn GG after everything that's happened since she showed up.

I wouldn't be surprised if the next maneuver in the Wu playbook would be to screech about how GamerGate didn't come to her defense after she admitted that one of their people might not be the (man)devil.

Maybe Wu is starting to realize the anti-GG well is running dry and is test running a flirt with the other side.

If that's the case, then that's a stupid move, since Wu really doesn't have any credibility to offer the other team should he switch gears, and I doubt this is going to gain him any Patreon money and/or respect.
 
It's amazing how a toxic group of trust-fund retards will so willingly turn entirely on a person for a single "mistake", especially when said mistake is acting civilly towards somebody you share a minor, bullshit disagreement with.

I'm willing to bet this is exactly it. Wuwu is starting to notice that the anti side is getting fed up with her bullshit and is looking to move on to greener pastures in order to keep the spotlight on her ego. Considering some of the batshit crazy stuff she's pulled, I really wouldn't put it past her.
 
This ploy obviously didn't work because her patreon is down about $400 from last week.
 
IMO she is trying to get a little support so Revolution 60 doesnt end as bad as Pregnancy, people is bitching about you have to pay 2 bucks for a ppt presentation, and worst thing the game can be finished IN 20 MINUTES
