My guess is a neogamer is Brianna's way of saying 'Gamer+', of which her definition encapsulates all the bumlicks that bought and enjoyed R60.
We can only hope it gets relegated to the laughingstock that Atheism+ was. I remember that happening. I'd very much like my fellow gamers to crush the movement that tried to destroy the movement that got me through inconceivable existential dread.

I just wonder what'd happen if Wu managed to get Twitter shut down with all this yelling.

Like, permanently. No more Twitter ever because clearly it's the home of terrorism.
Then Wu would realize she's killed the one thing in her life that gave her purpose.

Does she even play games? Every tweet of hers is some variation of "look how oppressed I am and how shitty male gamers are!" I don't think I've ever seen her tweet about games she's looking forward to or even tweets about games she's enjoyed in the past which is super weird for someone who claims to be into video games. The closest thing to that was when she posted a list of her favorite video games, but that was all really well known stuff like Ocarina of Time and SMB3 that she could have got by Googling "popular video games"
She seems to view Final Fantasy Tactics highly. Which is funny because that game is casual-unfriendly.

Shit, really? I've never seen her mention it before- hell, only time I can remember her mentioning SRPGs in general was asking if Fire Emblem Awakening 'had female characters in it'.
I can't find the specific posts but there's a FFT related book in her collection of "how to draw animu by Christ Hart". WuOnArt.png

Well I'll be damned, that's the strategy guide! Considering what we know about her gaming habits, at least with the 'neo gamer' shit, that's really out of left field.

Most of the shit she spouts seems to be on the spot and then she runs with it for as long as she can remember. Rev60 is her Mary Sue and she wants it to be successful just for that fact. Gamers don't like it? Well, "neogamers" do! Find the story in Rev60 incomplete to the point of being nonsensical? Wow, what a typical male nerd thing to say! Find the QTEs annoying? Well, a few female testers liked it! They don't need your dudebro business. Dudebros on steam think the game is shit? Wow, they just hate Brianna because she's a female game developer! Also, harassment.

Nobody knows who the actual fuck neogamers are because they don't exist. She used to call them "new gamers" (doesn't neo literally mean new?) but nothing about Wu's game is friendly to people who are new to gaming. Also, gaming is pretty well established so it's kind of like saying you're making a movie for people new to movies. Even if someone were new to a form of media you have to fucking pray that they will somehow ignore all the critically acclaimed stuff that's constantly referenced and then magically stumble across your product.

I'm really curious how much money Wu is bleeding as she makes changes to a game before it's released to a market she's managed to piss off. I think Rev 60 will be her last game. Not because it will sell like shit but because Wu has shown a history of being ADD as fuck. She's shown interest in writing books so I imagine she'll start burning through cash to self-publish.

I apologize if this link was already posted. I looked back from the time of publication and did not see this article in the thread. I don't get to keep up often, but this quote caught my attention.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/video-game-designer-drops-out-of-convention-over-death-threats/

"If you come to my house, you're going to see padlocks on the upstairs and downstairs basement. My husband has a secret knock that he uses when he comes into the house because it's terrifying to me every time someone knocks on my door," Wu said.

I am beyond disgusted by this statement. She has just recently said she does not take the threats seriously (See mini Tyce impersonator tweets). This article was published on Thursday.

The contradiction is what angers me most. The article paints a picture of a woman who has been terribly traumatized, and should be under both psychiatric, and psychological care. Not in-patient, because it doesn't really work for trauma victims, but certainly being closely monitored. Like, weekly.

I know this is more of the same BS MO. The quote, as an advocate for abused women, made me want to lose my cool. Instead I posted my feels here. Thanks for the outlet.

Well, that'll certainly keep away all the people who are insane enough to go to the electric chair for murder over Wu, but not to break a padlock. I mean, my God, there are still some limits.

If Brianna was actually afraid for her life she wouldn't publicly reveal what kind of precautions she is using to protect herself. Telling potential assailants what kind of security measures you take only gives them a greater chance to overcome those security measures.

The only thing brianna wu fears is being ignored.

I might be late on this but I decided to look up the game on the iOS store and something very suspicious is going on, there are hundreds of people giving the game 5 out of 5 (With an average score of 4/5 stars on both the US and UK store the last time I checked).

At first I thought that maybe the game might actually be good but then I read the reviews and there is stuff like:

Then I realized the game itself can be downloaded for free and is unlocked with an in app purchase so anyone can leave a review without paying anything, I wonder if Wu is getting her staff to leave 5 star ratings on the Apple store?

Also shes not afraid to make appearances at places when she is the center of attention like when she was asked to talk about GamerGate at a college.

One of her greatest claims-to-fame through her eyes is that she's now a "well-known developer". I bet she does have a comfy little spot in gaming history right next to Tim Langdell...
