Help, I need an adult

I just got this text today from my mother. She knows I'm friends with copypaste/hotwheels, and was aware he owned the site prior to hearing this "news".

I really respect my mother and I want to just tell her something to get her off my case that agrees with Wu. Apparently I already messed up with my initial reply....
Those who know Wu better, what should I say to get myself out of this?

This is NOT worth explaining or arguing for me personally.
Tell her that the threats got blown out of proportion and were from only a small minority of users. Remind her the internet is full of autistics, and you don't agree with them but believe in free speech. Enjoy that gochujang.

Older people aren't used to chan culture, and it doesn't mollify them, when someone threatens to fuck someone to death with a rusty chainsaw dipped in tetanus, to point out that there were only a dozen other threats like that and that kind of thing is really just an expression of mild annoyance.

Right. I think the best option is to switch topics as fast as possible instead of trying to explain everything. She most likely cares about women's issues, not chan culture. Talk about it for ten days and she'll still think it's wrong to send women death threats. It's better to tell her that it isn't going to be a problem and the threats were blown out of proportion.

A rusty chainsaw can't do anything against a trannycopter anyways.

I don't know why but the Wu throws his punches is a amusing as all hell.

He's hitting with the ball of his hands rather than a fist. It's more like a slap than a punch. Also, his posture, because of it I'm imagining each punch being accompanied by a girly scream/squeal

I DON'T KNOW YOU THAT'S MY PURSE!

"Stick and move, Frank! Stick and move!"

Go for the jugular. Bring up her self-victimization and attempts to milk non-threats.

1. Brianna Wu has milked what are now provably false-flags and trolling attempts as if they were actual attempts on her life. The "Death to Brianna" account on Twitter, responsible for her initial death threats, is provably from SomethingAwful. This became known with a 20-second Google search and none of the major news networks who initially covered Wu stopped bringing this up. Meanwhile, Wu continued to point to it.

2. Jace. What is now known to be an Andy Kaufmann-esque satire is considered by Wu to be a credible threat, and indeed, the reason she is not attending PAX this year, because PAX wouldn't shell out for additional security just for her after she felt the SVU episode made credible points.

3. The fact that she felt the SVU episode made credible points.

4. Bring up her openly using bots and sockpuppets to make herself out to be a victim. When her dog was dying of canine meningitis, a harassment account went up claiming to be Wu's dying dog. It used a photo only Wu herself had access to and its IP was traced to be the same as Brianna Wu's own before she deleted it.

5. Bring up her Jigsaw Self-Doxxing on 8chan, which was set up weeks in advance.

6. This:

Wu is a champion of self-victimization. She will freely do anything, no matter how reprehensible, to make herself out to be a victim, and doesn't care how hard she drags down everything around her in the process.

3. The fact that she felt the SVU episode made credible points.

Don't forget

3b. The fact that she felt the SVU episode was about her, when it was clearly about Anita Sarkeesian.

Just wondering, any particular sources about the dog sockpuppet account? I don't doubt it for a second but it'd be nice to have some hard-to-refute proof to show around.

Sad little thing isn't even doing it right. Not gonna sperg about martial arts. As someone else said earlier, his stance is really, really bad.

Considering he's only had to beat up women in the past, maybe it works well enough for him.
