I would love all of their support in this, truly, but I would prefer not to directly solicit GG. This was done more as a gesture of good will... Win-win for all. That said, it would be nice if the idea was successful. Admittedly, I launched it at the worst online traffic time of the entire week, but there is not a time frame with Crowdrise. I am not opposed to GG picking up on this. In fact, that is what I want.... To show the goodness of people. I do not know any of the people you list, so is it possible they may not take my request seriously. Perhaps if someone more legitimate than myself could bring up the topic to them?
I want to help fight the darkness with a little bit of light, if that makes sense.

Well, if you're trying to counter people like Wu attention whoring for fake tragedy and instead focus on helping women who have legit problems in a way that brings gamers and women in general together instead of this partisan BS this lolcow keeps trying to stir up for pity and money, then that's a noble cause.

As easy as it is to tweet my opinions to Wu (especially since her block-minion seems to leave me off the list) I really wanted to use the position I am in to provide a legitimate opportunity for charity, unity, and positivity among gamers. It isn't about the money. This was on my list of things to obtain in the next few weeks and it dawned on me that doing a fundraiser would be a productive way to show the GOOD in gamers.
And I am certainly not here for PR. Our org VP has us covered with his millions of Twitter followers. As I said earlier, this is an opportunity for everyone to win. There are no losers when there is only truth.

So noble @_blank_ was nice enough to link to this lovely article by Inc magazine, "Ten Toxic People You Should Avoid Like The Plague." He intoned (rather brilliantly) that Brianna Wu exhibits traits common to much of that entire list, if not all of them. Surprising exactly no one, investigation yields that this is 100% accurate, and Brianna Wu, uniquely, pretty much achieves a perfect score. I'll elaborate below, for your amusement and convenience:
1. Toxic arrogance
There is a big difference between confidence and arrogance. Confidence inspires; arrogance intimidates. Arrogant people always know best and feel superior to others. They will never celebrate your confidence because it interferes with their arrogance.

Brianna Wu's arrogance is well-known and macks of Moleman9000, at a glance, but is technically worse as she's completely convinced her entire shitty IOS game is the best game in the history of human endeavor, with the best plot every written. In a few ways, she calls to mind David Cage, who is infamous in the world of gaming for simultaneously trying to push video games as a storytelling engine whilst being responsible for some of the most confusing, laughably-written games ever produced.
It's Brianna's hubris, however, that sets her apart from her contemporaries in the Arrogance department - in this regard, she's not dissimilar from Phil Fish. Try to explain something to her, even if it's obviously she demonstrably knows nothing about, and you will be accused of "Mansplaining" to her. She screams about awards she's won and how important they make her seem even though she solely got them due to her buddy-buddy relationship with the awarder.
2. Toxic victimhood
One of the most dangerous people you can have around you is the perpetual victim. Perpetual victims look at their own issues and mistakes and always find others to blame, from their unreasonable boss to their unloving parents. They never take ownership of their own lives.

Do I need even say something about this? Wu is the professional victim that makes other professional victims go: "OK, that's fucking embarassing."
Her self-victimhood is so well-known that I started a running gag every time she does it (WU SELF-VICTIMIZATION COUNT: 9). Wu makes herself out to be a victim to a degree that Chris, Vade, and the like could never match. She claims to have been death-threatened more times than all the other LWs, and has demanded extra security and to be treated as someone to be white knighted because of the SVU episode. Wu has essentially dragged her fellow LWs into the ditch, to the point where the likes of Zoe Quinn visibly can't stand her and on several occasions has had it out with Wu over her I AM THE MOST OPPRESSED INDIVIDUAL ON THE PLANET bullshit.
3. Toxic control
Controlling people know everything and the best way to do anything. They're usually very insecure beneath it all, but as long as they're around you'll never get a chance to voice an idea or do anything yourself.

Wu tone-polices everywhere she can. On Reddit she's the mod for Gamerghazi and actively pushes to have banned anyone that offends her delicate sensibilities. She blocks people constantly for disagreeing with her and has a manipulative streak that's well-documented by now. She was thrown out of Transgender communities for essentially doing what Vade did during the TF2FIP/FSB era, getting into a position of power and then running them as her own personal fiefdom. When the comments on Rev60's Steam Page proved too much for even Wu, her associates, and a group of spambots posting great things about the game to control or even spin as muh soggy knees, she took down the page.
4. Toxic envy
Those plagued with jealousy are never happy with what they have, and they aren't capable of being happy when good things happen to you. They can't appreciate it when others achieve or move forward; they feel that if anything good is going to happen, it should happen to them.

She was apoplectic when TotalBiscuit won an award and called him a "transmysoginist." She's freaked the fuck out over people better than her and blocks people who dare point out that she isn't the center of the fucking universe. She screamed for days about how Pakman ran a hit-piece on her for daring to ask her questions that she wasn't prepared for, then got Arthur "Rape Apologist" Chu to white knight her about a week later. Gods help you if you're more successful than her at something, because Wu will react in a fashion not unlike Chris with Adam Stackhouse, as demonstrated when Quinn and Wu had it out over who was more oppressed.

As long as there are people, there will be people who lie. But chronic liars are harmful because you never know what to believe, so you can't count on their promises or their word. They will lie to you about others, and they will lie to others about you.

Whether it's claiming Gamergate somehow made an account of her dog (which was provably from Brianna herself) to mock her, or the legendary Steam Incident, Wu's a pathological liar about some massive things. She lies about other things, too - we've punched major holes in her claims to be on HRT and she's lied about having someone to manage her tweets. Probably her best-known and most hated ones are the ones like the initial "Death to Brianna" hoax (provably done by SomethingAwful) and Jace TRO incident, where Wo continues to claim that complete non-issues were a threat to her life, and has hired Magaret Pless (an associate of both hers and Quinn's) to help spread bullshit about how dangerous and threatening Jace was, to the point where even SJWs were fucking pointing out how disingenuous this was.
6. Toxic negativity
You probably know someone who's always angry and resentful, suspicious of everything. Negativity destroys relationships, and spending time with negative people makes you feel they are sucking the life out of you.

Everything in Wu's twitter falls into three categories: Self-gratification over her latest tiny success du jour, attempts to scream about how Gamergate is destroying her life (whilst remaining the only reason she's remotely relevant) with her latest piece of victimhood du jour, and the never-ending fucking meme about how we're all doomed unless we embrace Wu and causes she presents as our salvation. Wu isn't quite at Dobson levels of depressing, but her Twitter is a never-ending spiral of negativity and bullshit, made funny solely because Wu has the competence of a half-eaten apple danish and has absolutely no self-awareness.
7. Toxic greed
So much of our culture tells us to want more, achieve more, earn more. And to a degree that kind of desire and ambition can be good. But it turns toxic when people want it all--what's theirs and what's not--and when having, rather than doing or being, becomes the focus of their life.

There is a big difference between making a judgment and being judgmental. Judgments are objective and based on discernment, while being judgmental is just about criticism. Judgmental people are always quick to jump to conclusions. They are poor listeners and communicators.

Can someone make sure to grab some screencaps when the whole Jace thing is released to the GG set? It's gonna be some magical shit watching the Anti-GGs do some Cirque du Soleil-equivalent mental gymnastics to justify Brianna's month-long tirade about a performance artist, the restraining order... oh, and also explaining to Gawker and whoever else they just got
