I'd prefer not to let myself down by intentionally misgendering them.

I see where you're coming from, but Wu is... a special case.

Under any normal circumstances, I'm aware that people are born, uh, "sub-optimal" all the damn time. Missing a finger, a bendy spine, or a brain that doesn't feel right for the body it's in. Since nobody has the time or universal criteria to sort out who's "really" transgender, it's way easier just to extend the basic courtesy to call anyone whatever they ask you to. With occasional eye-rolling.

John Flynt is a man who has so fetishized the "ideal" female form to such a degree that he built one for himself. It's in all his old art of all his old Mary Sues. His deliberate body language is the unsettling puppet show of what he thinks a "real woman" is. The whole affair, with only minor tweaks, could make a decent horror movie.

Of course you've never gotten fucked by Twitter, you have friends on their staff:

I see John is back on his little hatebox towards Milo again, pretending as if he and Milo are treated by Twitter based on behavior alone (as if John doesn't behave like a total thug).

This is where one sees John at his absolutely most mendacious, as he needs to check his privilege - in this case, the naked nepotism between Twitter security and John via Glenn Fleishman.

I've touched on this before, but it's a good time to flesh it out a bit more.

The head of Twitter trust and security (basically its top cop) is "Del Harvey". That is a name she uses professionally. Her real name is Alison Shea. This is not doxing - this was covered in a Gawker piece in 2011, though they misspell her name in the article as "Allison". I'll get back to that.

Ms. Harvey is well-known - in general and on Twitter, where she has 314,000 followers. Before being an early hire of Twitter, she worked for Perverted Justice, the consulting organization for a popular NBC TV show called "To Catch a Predator". Harvey worked both in research and as bait for child predators - convincingly playing the roles of underage females and males, in person and on the phone. Here is an eight minute interview she did on ABC's "The View", as an example of her prominence at the time.

Take a look at Harvey's Twitter account (@delbius) right now.

She isn't a heavy tweeter and is on leave until mid-January. But look at six of her seven latest tweets, posted on New Year's Eve. She's engaging in lighthearted banter with one of her best friends on Twitter - Glenn Fleishman.
del and glenn - full exchange.png

This is not an anomaly. Glenn is Del's "4th best friend" on Twitter.
del's 4th best friend is glenn.png

And who is John Walker Flynt's very best friend on Twitter? Why that would be... Glenn Fleishman.
john's best friend on twitter is glenn.png

In both cases (Del-Glenn and John-Glenn), the Twitter friendships come from their real-world relationships. Glenn has written extensively on security issues at Twitter, interviewing Del.

As for Glenn and John, Glenn said he's a "big fan" of John and that John is a "great friend". Likewise, John calls Glenn a "good friend".

And Glenn gave John his first break in being an Apple "journalist" by letting John write for Glenn's publication "The Magazine" in April 2013. "The Magazine" was started by Marco Arment, so that's why John kisses up to that particular wealthy white man.

He also helped John get work with Macworld, which is Glenn's main writing gig. They also cross-pollinate each other's podcasts.

Circling back to Harvey's real name being Alison Shea...

Shea went to Davidson College, where as a junior she founded the school's Gay-Straight Alliance in 2001. Excerpts from an article about it:

According to its constitution, the GSA hopes to provide a "safe space for those of diverse gender identity, and all lesbians, bi-sexuals, gay people, heterosexual allies and those questioning their sexuality or gender."... "It's really important that we provide this space for both gay and straight people to come together,"said Shea. "It's a scary thing sometimes, when you live in a place where people do go out and hurt people due to their sexuality."
An article several months later discussed a homophobic hate incident at one of the campus fraternities and how a forum was convened about it.

About 110 students attended the forum, which was co-sponsored by the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity in response to an Oct.6 incident in which beer cans were
thrown at a homosexual couple from the fraternity's porch during its annual "Tacky Party."

The Patterson Court Judiciary Board convicted SAE on Nov. 8 for not stopping members or guests from throwing beer cans and shouting anti-gay epithets at sophomore Rory Adams and his companion. The house was acquitted on two other charges.

PCC President and SAE member Matt Arbuckle said the forum was aimed at bringing about good from the incident. Shea believes it succeeded.

Davidson's yearbook "Quips and Cranks" has several photos of Shea to visually confirm she's the same person as Del Harvey. The best photo is in the 2002 edition.

Post-college, there's a brief blurb about Shea in a Lambda Legal pamphlet:

When she joined Time Out Youth, an LGBTQ youth organization in Charlotte, North Carolina, Alison Shea was looking for a place where she could be herself without being judged or rejected.

Long story short - John Flynt has a nepotistic and ideological connection with the head of Twitter security via his good friend Glenn, and the head of Twitter security is a long-time LGBTQ activist sympathetic to John's claims of harassment as transgender and as a "woman". They both certainly have (understandably) negative experiences with frat dudebro culture dating back to their respective college years and they both attended college at around the same time (early 2000s), despite John being somewhat older than Alison.

John of course has murderous rage about Milo, ever since Milo published "The Wacky World of Wu" in February 2015 - the only major media piece that ever picked apart John and his long history of horrible behavior. It also set off John's decline in Patreon support and coverage in respectable mainstream media.

When Milo published that article, John had about 36,000 followers and Milo had about 42,000 - a difference of only 6,000. Now John has 48K and Milo has 133K - a huge difference of 85,000. Google Trends shows the same change in fortune.

Very true, but Wu takes bad care of his Macs and is apparently a dumbass who is gambling they can upgrade a 2009 Mac to run Oculus based on what amounts to guesswork.

Yeah, it's very much guesswork and potentially an expensive mistake. The "octocore" Mac would be two Xeon 5500 quad core CPUs. Despite this being a 2009 model, and their recommended minimum being from 2014, the horsepower adds up to a supported configuration. It depends on if Occulus relies on a CPU feature that didn't exist back then or how they handle multi-threading. Having a thousand 2.2GHz cores won't help if the software's multi-threading can't spread the load over multiple cores and is instead designed for a single 2.8GHz core.

I expect Wu, being a software engineer, has already checked these kinds of things and isn't simply adding up GHz and assuming it'll work.

BASELESS accusations of pedophilia

In case some people don't know what 12chan was, it was a chan for pedophiles.

There would be no reason for any normal person to go there much less to be gleefully sharing CP from it.

The fuck are you talking about? Serializing individual bits of gunpowder? Like what writing it into the atoms?--- What the fuck is--- The fuck?

The idea is "taggants." It's an old idea, not Wu's, and if it were at all practical, it would have been done on a large scale a long time ago.

It would probably now be possible to do with some kind of nanotech, but the main issue isn't whether it can be done. It's whether you could control all sources of the manufactured material to prevent people from manufacturing it without including the taggants (and thus immediately increasing its value in relation to competing tagged brands of the same material).

Gunpowder is way too cheap to manufacture and common to do this.

It is done, however, with more regulated substances like some plastic explosives.

But hey, just try "mansplaining" that to John Flynt, the Frankenstein's Monster of feminist gamers.

These recent tweets have made it clear to me that Rev60 is just a low-budget Mass Effect fangame where the diverse cast and range of lifeforms is replaced by white women and misc. bad guys. Exactly what gaming needed.

Also, for those of you who refer to Wu as their previous name and use male pronouns, is that a disrespect reserved solely for Wu or is that the way you'd normally refer to transgender people? I'm simply curious.
I prefer to call a spade a spade. Brianna Wu is a she. She went through SRS. Phil Haskins aka Isabel Rosa Whatever is not a she. He has not gone through SRS. Simple as that.

I can think of a better version of that, though.

Suppose you have a switch you can pull and an oncoming train will deviate from running over Brianna Wu and will run over Phil Haskins-Delici instead.

How do you kill both of them?

Wu should be ashamed to have been John Flynt, as Wu was an utter piece of shit when using that name.

Wu should also be ashamed to still be the same utter piece of shit that used to be called John Flynt.
Kill Phil. The downfall of Brianna Wu is going to be legendary.

It also has a massive (if slightly weird) fanbase, which Rev 60 doesn't
EDIT: Densha de D?
It has furries in it of course its fanbase is going to be wierd. At least its not on FNAF's fanbase level yet.

I just keep getting ERROR when I input this into my calculator
I keep getting 58008. I dont know what im doing wrong.

Aren't taggants a chemical signature? I only know about them from movies not real life applications, always assumed they were mostly bullshit-- but she's talking about serial numbers, tiny tiny serial numbers. Her tweet reads to me like she's literally saying little itty bitty numbers per bullet in the powder in each bullet.

There wouldn't be any reason not to have nanotech taggants with actual serial numbers, but so long as it is a distinct enough signature to know the origin of the item even after it's blown up, it would work. From the little I know of them, some of them are actually physical markers that just have a distinct shape and appearance, some are chemical, it's just anything that identifies the source of a substance.

(They don't really advertise exactly what they're doing for obvious reasons.)

Actually, it is, Wu. You have 539 idiots paying you to lounge around on Twitter all day to release a game that's had way more delays than Mighty No 9. While any, media male figures spoke out against feminism, they would receive a shitstorm worse than any Taco Bell restroom at midnight.

I know at least one company uses gold nanoparticles for this purpose. It's going to be marketed towards currency as well as fingerprinting less lethal munitions.

An old guy doesn't keep up with technology, tell me it isn't so.

I'll never understand Frank Wu. A guy with his salary could hire supermodel tier tranny hookers and party every night, but instead he spends all his money on the delusional schemes of a turtle faced ghoul.

Well, at least the SPLASH SCREEN (not an opening movie) looks less like it's from 1993. Now it's from 2001!
"Sound design is under appreciated in games." Says the person who uses Kevin Mcleod's royalty-free music.
Come on Wu, don't make me rant about how awesome Undertale and its soundtrack are, at this rate, I'll be drowning in dumb ratings.
