The only part of this that doesn't suck is Amelia's cheer. You can clearly tell what is happening and feel the character move.

The rest of it is slapped together nonsense. You read it a second time and you can tell what the hell is going on. It's like Sonichu the way the story is completely obscured by the art. On the last page bee-girl has an enemy mook show up at the party, but you can't tell because the speech balloons cover his entrance.
It also looks like there are scenes that should be there, but are missing. Like when the bomb is thrown but instead of seeing it land and the "bad guys" noticing, it just shows Wu's sex doll and a poof of smoke. It makes me wonder if she (Or Frank) made storyboards before putting this together.

I don't consider myself a cowardly man, but something about FlyntWu just terrifies me. Straight up nightmare fuel.

Like, if I saw FlyntWu on the street I'd just get the hell out of there. I can very easily imagine a lot of Buffalo Bill shit happening at FlyntWu's hands.
For me it's the cheekbones that jut out like two inches off her face.

Point noted, though it still has limitations hardware wise due to Bootcamp's limitations, and thus I seriously doubt Oculus is going to run worth a damn or be supported well at all, especially at this stage.

Bootcamp is a bunch of drivers, an installer for putting them on a flash drive, and then regular Windows installers for putting them in to Windows. There are no limitations beyond the same you have when you install Windows on any x86 hardware, which will always require the installation of drivers from somewhere. It is Windows running natively on x86 hardware with no limitations unique to Bootcamp.

I still imagine that Wu will find some way to fuck it up if her idea of hacking bragging rights is the discovery that text files can be edited using a text editor.

And Wu's questions on wait time for Steam is a reminder that she has no fucking idea how a financially solvent business works. Her last broken promise for release was October. Had she not even then checked to see how long Steam take to accept a game? GSK is not financially viable without never-ending donations of cash to keep the lights on. The "Godzilla of feminists" will never turn a profit and will always rely on her predominantly male benefactors.

How lazy do you have to be to just use your ingame models and toss some text over the top of them and call it a comic that you actually charge for..?

For someone all for gameplay not involving killing and name dropping her hate for dudebros... She made a pretty big dudebro setting.

But...it has space looking stuff, like Mass Effect!

That makes it cool and popular, like Mass Effect!

Does anyone else mentally draw a cock whenever they see one of Brianna's characters with their perpetually open mouths?

It's almost like they're based on something in reality.

I learn something new every day here, I thought Boot Camp was somewhat similar to the hardware interface via the hypervisor of a virtual machine, thanks for explaining how I was wrong.

I've used virtual machines and Wine before, and what I've heard of Bootcamp is that basically allowed Windows to work on Mac boxes with some limits on hardware compatibility, so I was under the impression it had a flawed implementation of features needed to run Windows natively, didn't realize that that wasn't as accurate as I thought.

Now, all Wu needs is to figure where he's wrong and to up end the humility pill bottle, and he just might not be the fuckup you rightly describe.

More Wu retardation, this time about guns:

You know what? Guns that have fingerprint readers built into the trigger and stock.

The Israelis have them, why can't the US implement them?

That she can say she's tired of "people with loud, stupid opinions" without a hint of irony, and then back up her silly ideas with "I'm an engineer (who makes video games...sort of, but not really)" is a truly remarkable feat of mental gymnastics

I always get stuck on something a few pages back because the god damned idiocy of it hits me so hard.

Wu... if someone pesters you about when your game will be available for purchase, you automatically assume they're from gamergate? Gamergate being the catch-all term for whoever is giving you shit at the moment, of course.

"Yesssssss," burbles the homunculus before me, "It is only reasonable. They are aaaaaalways asking."

Holy shit. If one was an actual game developer and not a laughable bag of hot air, this would absolutely terrify you. For contrast, consider Mighty No. 9. Every time it was delayed, there were howls of fury and sharpening of pitchforks. Because despite the community manager bullshit and Red Ash bullshit and whatever else I couldn't be bothered to follow, a lot of people would still really like to play a Mega Man-style side-scrolling action game.

Revolution 60? No sincere fans are just getting impatient? That means your entire sales demographic consists of hate-buyers, Youtube mockers, and cackling assholes who are willing to spend a few bucks to joke gift your hot garbage game into someone else's Steam library.

Total revenue: Whatever percentage of the preceding is too lazy to bother with a refund.
I cant wait for this game to be the new Bad Rats aka the hate gift on Steam

bcuz wat if the knife wielder charges and uses his super jujitsu to diserm me and the gun drops at the feet of another heroic citizen? Then he cant use it to shoot the killr b4 he uses his dim mak knife skillz to kill me.

But does she believe in the phrase: stupidly expensive to the point of complete inefficiency?
Wait, how much did Rev60 cost to make? $400,000? Oh, shit, I guess she doesn't believe in that either

Secondly, what's to stop gun owners from just buying other types of ammunition? I've spent enough time on /k/ to realise that importing bullets into the USA isn't very hard. So first the designers must design bullets with traceable serial numbers on them, then get every ammunition manufacturer in the United States to agree to use them, then have every gun owner use only one type of ammo for their guns.
I don't know, but I think there are better ideas out there.

Yeah, Wu, just put serial numbers on the casings. People have been filing them off firearms for decades, but I'm sure they'll be respectful and not do the exact same thing here.
For once, we agree completely: loud, stupid people who know little about the topic at hand should probably stay out of the conversation.

I have the feeling that Wu was trying to make it seem like her characters often engage in ~witty banter~, but it just seems like they fucking hate each other. I see this happen a lot actually; people try to write relationships that consist of teasing/throwing barbs/etc, but if you don't do it exactly right it makes it seem like the characters can't stand one another instead of them having an easy relationship where they feel comfortable enough to playfully insult each other.

So instead of thinking "What a fun relationship they have!" you're left thinking "Why do these people even interact if they hate each other so much?"

That comic was awful. I'm merely an ideas person, not a get-things-done person (forgive me, O Wu), but I'm sort of baffled by how awful it is. Three things jump out:

First: the insistence on ridiculous sound effects. I think this is a symptom of Wu's tell-over-show problem. She's trying to convey tension and action by piling on the sound effects, not realizing that it doesn't really work in a purely visual medium. It can be done well, as in the original GI Joe: RAH's issue "SFX," but that was written by Larry Hama and not a lunatic jerking off her own fictional selves, sooo ...

Second: PACING, MOTHERFUCKER, DO YOU UNDERSTAND IT. Short answer, no. Long answer, "bitch split a sarcastic comment into two different bubbles with a friggin' ellipsis between, thus conveying the impression that the character randomly decided to pause not only in the middle of being sarky but in the middle of a motherfucking gunfight to the death." An action sequence usually lives or dies on its speed and flow, but that one ellipsis perfectly encapsulates how little Brianna understands about her chosen media.

Third: "professional problem eliminator." That exchange is not a Brianna Wu original. It is, in fact, a nearly direct quote from the James Bond film License to Kill:

"I help people with problems."
"Problem solver?"
"More of a problem eliminator."

So not only does Brianna rip off dialogue, she rips it off from one of the most cishetmale of all cishetmale fictional characters. And then she gives this cishetmale dialogue to a fetishized plastic doll with weird eyes. How very ... Flyntlike.

Because US guns aren't build, they grow. All over the continental US, but most of all the southern and south-western regions like Texas, New Mexico and Arizona, there is an endemic plant to be found that is called Ballistidendron Posse Comitatus or "Boomstick Tree" in the vernacular. On this tree, which superficially resembles a gum tree, guns and ammo of many kinds grow. Older specimens that can be two to three centuries old grow muskets, flintlock pistols, small brass cannon and powder kegs on their branches, younger ones bring forth modern handguns, shotguns, carbines, assault rifles and hand grenades. There are rumors about isolated trees growing thermonuclear warheads, but these are unsubstantiated. When the abovementioned arms are ripe, they fall from the branches to the ground and lie around on the grass until someone comes and picks them up. This is why Americans make a great deal of teaching their children not to pick up stray guns lying around on the ground, sometimes employing beloved children's characters (birds wearing shoes, orange human-cat hybrids) to bring across the message.

Keep dreaming, Wu.

Through Boot Camp? Then you'll need even MORE power since you're emulating it.

No wonder Wu gets skewed results. Wu emulates Windows instead of running it natively, so system requirements are always misinterpreted by Wu.

His refusal to get a decent pc is going to make that rift a very expensive doorstop, you can build a rig with that power for half the price of a mac , but no, he has to be a hipster and a noob aka "i dont know how to build a computer from scratch"

My pc almost has those specs except for the motherboard, damn privileged white man

I just KNEW I'd seen Wu use that word "exogenous" before. It's one of her fave "sound smart" words; so I guess we can add it to the Wutionary along with "Exfiltration".

From "Tribute to John":

"I’ve always watched women with an apt fascination of the world to which I was being denied. It seemed so enchanting, all of it. But when I attempted to emulate the behavior that seemed so normal, I was socially ostracized. I rarely had close friends as a child, I was just different and strange-an exogenous factor that didn’t compute with the system."

Doesn't it just tell you so much about Wu that she's the sort to use these word-power words so casually? Nothing wrong with having a good vocab, but with Wu they come out when losing an argument (gun serial numbers) or trying to justify the unjustifiable (John Flynt self-enucleation cock-chopping as a positive)...
