After having his nose bloodied all day, Wu is swallowing his pride (i.e. - faking it to look good)

Translation: I'm not a horrible ass, since everyone's a horrible ass. Stop being mean to poor me, or you're the worst of them all.

Typical John progression - huge meltdown, retreat with a fistful of Ambien, return in the late hours and be Philosophy John, with a heavy dose of passive-aggressive guilt-tripping.

Edit: And take asspats from sockpuppets.

Right, but Kickstarter's going to wash its hands of the whole thing if she mouths some perfunctory apologies and doesn't say anything flagrantly fraudulent. At that point it'll be up to individual backers, and I doubt anyone's going to take Wu's shell corporation to court over their $20 "investment".
What happens if backers do chargebacks on their credit card for a kickstarter pledge? Is that even possible after this much time?

Meh. Anyone who backed John's abortion is a retard who deserves to lose their money.

I find this extremely ironic given how Wu had this insane boner for Apple.

Gotta admit, I'm normally not a fan of self-righteous cows but Wu embodies the most hilarious type of self-righteousness. If she keeps this up then the lead-up to Rev 60 will be hilarious.

Some credit card providers don't have a clause on how much time has passed. The terms of the transaction were made for the Kickstarter, where you paying money then meant the game would be ready now, and since it isn't, there is a fraudulent transaction. My bank is included in this no time limit thing, so if I knew of Wu back then, I might've donated $100 just to get the charge back. Knowing my luck, though, the game would have shipped and been AAA, and I would be out $100.

I'd like to take a moment to point out this awesome lady, who visitors of the Dobson thread should recognize.

Good God I love Rachel Jones!

Also, Flynt thinks Erasure sucks? He can't give a little respect to them?

It wouldn't be fraud unless Wu intended to default on the contract from the outset, or subsequently fraudulently diverted funds into personal uses with nothing to do with the game (which is more likely).

Dude Rachel is eating wu up today. Does anyone know the details of the Rachel wu connection?
It would be lovely if they met at ghc, Rachel pissed WiFi isn't working with her VPN, stressed as hell cause she needed to do work and wu is all acting dumb and talking about how great it is they're all sisters in WiFi in the middle of an ambien blackout

The company headquarters is just a cardboard box with "Giant Spacekat" written on it crudely in marker (complete with backwards "S," and an unintentional misspelling of "cat"). Inside the box, the walls have drawings of "super high tech computers" on them, on which Wu and her team (a bunch of action figures and stuffed animals) work diligently on her "game."
I don't think so. Such a box would be much faster at creating games than GSX is.

1. MANSPLAINING (Translation: YOU MADE ME LOOK STUPID, SO I'LL INVALIDATE YOU BY POINTING OUT YOUR GENDER!)

2. Being a total cunt when people are trying their best not to reciprocate until they go away feeling ashamed they even bothered to correct the great Flynt.

I probably have more to gripe about "Mansplaining" later, but at the moment it's odd to see someone lash out when people start asking if you've done the obvious stuff first. A significant number of tech-support calls have ended at, "Is it plugged in? I'm serious; visually confirm." People do head-slappingly stupid shit all the time. It doesn't necessarily make one an idiot. It might even be the opposite.

There are more than a few very experienced doctors who rankle at being asked to follow a checklist for even routine procedures. While it seems insulting, it's because you do this sort of thing all the time that it leads to absent-mindedly stitching someone up with a surgical sponge still in them.

More pertinent to the matter at hand: If you complain about tech problems to Twitter, it's in poor taste to further complain about unsolicited advice. Because it's no longer unsolicited.

Yeah it's like if you're not stupid., you should know you're still stupid sometimes

IIRC this is what happened with Mighty No. 9 during the Dana debacle; by all accounts some $30,000 or so was lost via burned users charge-backing the Kickstarter (and that's that we know about).

Has Wu-Wu responded to Rachel yet?

Wu will not respond to anyone that points out when she fucks up. She blocked, by all accounts, hundreds during the Trans Samus debacle, even people who'd been on her follower list for years. Wu doesn't want people that think critically; ya'll need to Listen and Believe.

Just went and pulled her article from cultofmac on Metal. It's basically a press release for both Apple and for revolution 60. http://www.cultofmac.com/281987/gamers-excited-metal/

Metal should solve some of the biggest technical limitations Unreal developers like myself face on iOS. For example, in my game Revolution 60 a character turns and fires at a cyborg hibernating in a tube. The bullet flies through the glass, and the cyborg smashes through the top of the tube. When we first made the visual effect, we had 50 shards of glass spraying as she smashed through the tube. It looked great on modern iPads, but when we installed it on an iPhone 4S, the frame rate slowed to a crawl.

Her ignorance shines through this entire article.

With Metal, all kinds of things are suddenly a lot more possible on iOS. Did you enjoy Left 4 Dead, a game that has you facing hordes of zombies? Well, Metal should allow more draw calls, meaning game developers can put more enemies on screen.

Do you enjoy games with lots of emotion and narrative? Metal could allow game developers to make even more complex facial and body rigs on iOS. Currently, any Unreal game that uses more than 75 mesh-influencing bones for a character requires a second draw call, meaning you can’t have many characters on screen at once if their faces animate. Again, Metal could change this.

To be fair, this is just speculation based on the WWDC demo. I have not played with a version of Unreal based on Metal, and I don’t have any inside knowledge from either Apple or Epic. But, as someone who fights against the limits of Unreal on iOS on a daily basis, I’m extremely excited.

She would have to prove that legally, or be subject to recompense by the backers. According to that very link.
No, this assumes too much. Who has to prove what legally is determined by statute and case law.

She just has to "demonstrate" she used the funds "appropriately." This doesn't mean turning over payroll forms. It just means a very basic accounting.

You know, I was wondering why Rev60 had unpredictable frame-rate hiccups.

Now, it seems, I know.

Do you really think Wu's that competent, after what we've seen this week?
