John's little 20-minute GamesBeat chat begins at 4:40 Pacific time today. The livestream for the event is here, in case any masochists among us wish to watch John flail about VR and emotions.

Well, they're never photographed with toys are they? It's always just them being dirty or with a doggie fence. It wouldn't kill Wu to take them all to the groomers for puppy cuts... But maybe the local groomers give out report cards, and she doesn't want to be mansplained to why she's a horrible pet owner. She shouldn't have dogs, period. We saw that the dog tears up the furniture at Wu's house - based on a picture Wu themselves put on twitter - and the more knowledgeable people when it comes to dog behavior pointed out dogs only do that when they are badly neglected.
I know it's ridiculous to ask at this point but why is Brianna speaking on this subject? She has never designed or done any work on VR, she has no credentials to indicate that she understands the technology behind VR, and furthermore she has only one real game to her name at this point. While it is absurd that she flew across the country for a 20 minute talk on a subject she isn't qualified to speak on, what I find equally baffling is that the event organizers couldn't find anyone on the West Coast who could speak on the subject.John's little 20-minute GamesBeat chat begins at 4:40 Pacific time today. This really shows how privileged she is, and for once I'm using that word unironically. Having gotten every single one of her professional opportunities from "networking", of course she'd think that's the most important thing for women in tech. She'd probably be clutching her pearls if she ever found out that the plebs just have to throw their resumes into the pile and pray for a call back.Really Brianna? Lazy? As if it is up to the companies to go out of their way to contact qualified women who don't even bother applying even when they already have enough applications from qualified men who somehow managed to send a CV and fill in an application form?
But I guess in order to know how job applications work you must have some work experience in the first place other than "Owner of a useless company paid by mommy, daddy, sugardaddy and patreonbux"

Actually supposedly they can't find anyone male or female to fill nice jobs all the time. Half of tech is just recruiters looking and just about half or more of the recruiters are women. Also I know wu probably doesn't know much other than big gaming studios and her circle of friends but it's normal for a recruiter to spend one or even part of the second interview explaining what it is that the company does. Like I have an opinion on like 1% of all the tech companies out there and barely even know the rest exist. How is a woman going to decide they're sexist.Really Brianna? Lazy? No, what's depressing is that your are going to talk about something you have no creditably in and people are just going to lap it up like your some kind of expert. That's depressing.
Also saying you tried to hire women I'm pretty sure is illegal.
But thanks for your ingrained right-wing snark about San Francisco, Mr. "Liberal" "Feminist". Also very "jet set" of you to point out high prices for things at hotels and conferences.
Jesus. It's like he's teasing us....dancing right up to the edge of a conversation about trannies and gender....when you want to hear: "BTW, you know how I told you all I'm a natural-born woman! Psyche! I'm a dude!"
How is this going to work? Will they ever have kids? Will he concoct some elaborate story to explain why he and Frank can't "get pregnant"? Or will he stick a pillow under his shirt and adopt a kid?
The idea of John raising children in his world-view is horrifying, but it would almost be worth it just to hear his convoluted explanation....
His "keynote".

Err... No. It's because the patriarchy conditions women to make those choices. There is a complex series of hidden messages thrown at us every day that tricks us into thinking we're making decisions on our own but really we're just following our programming. Only if you buy into feminism will you see the truth. Only by following all of feminism's tenets will you be able to make actual choices in your life (as long as they only offend white men).Call me crazy, but maybe there's a simple reason why the vidya industry is "dominated" by dang dirty males: Men and women are different, and often seek careers in different fields.
*Mind Blown*
Speaking of "lazy", where's the fucking game, John?

Freelancers, was working with a team doing 3D work on them today, some were Macs.Who the fuck does 3D rendering on a laptop
They do, the fans and airflow are actually really well designed. Only "The New Macbook" is fanless and isn't a pro machine in the slightest.I also feel the need to point out that Apple laptops do not have fans inside them outside of maybe the CPU.
Yeah Bri, this is the disgusting culture your chums on the mod team at Twitter have perpetuated… pricing the poor and marginalised out of their neighbourhoods where things as simple as water and buses now cost more than they probably earn in an hour.Brianna Wu said:Only in San Francisco
Wu must do anything she can to try and launch her new career. You know more about this stuff than me but I think what she's doing right now is pretty smart given her situation.
