Brianna Wu's hope is that Cupcake Crisis will "inspire the next generation of female engineers" or something like that. If I'm remembering right, it's just simple addition and subtraction problems. She couldn't even make a half-assed version of Crayon Physics for those young female engineers. Either a game like that is beyond the abilities of the world's foremost expert on the Unreal Engine or she has a very low opinion of the mental abilities of young girls. Take your pick, Wu.

Let's not forget that, while Nintendo pretty much set everybody up for PMS jokes, Peach fights by being emotional because the game takes place in a kingdom where emotion-based magic exists.
 
I don't think it really matters. It'll be twisted somehow... Kind of like Firestar in X-Men. Her inability to control her teen angst and puberty made her deadly. Powers directed or influenced by emotion is nothing new, and also affects the boys.

Actually the distance between the hotels is 16 miles if she was staying at the convention hotel both times. Near the Ihop just north of the airport there are a cluster of hotels that are much cheaper than the ones closest to the airport. Sure enough it's right around 10 miles.
I'm going to give her this one there was a large enough gap in her tweets to have made this jog. Taking a cab 2 ways would have been $100, taking public transit would have taken about the same amount of time. Jogging down there would have made a lot of sense. Some research shows she has a 50 dollar pair of headphones for blocking out frank's snoring and more recently a set of beats that given her pictures are probably about 225 dollars. I'm going to guess she went and got her 225 dollar set of beats and probably rode a cab back or caught a ride with someone else coming into town.

Ebay reveals that her used beats are not worth much more than that cab ride. :(

Oh, no. She isn't advocating for men. She is still advocating for women. The true point is that men need to take equal responsibility for child rearing...taking the weight off the mother's shoulders.

Personally, I wish a tech conference would have a panel focused on balancing your job and not neglecting your pets.

It's a perfect example of ad hominem logic: dismiss an argument based on the characteristics of the person making it (i.e. male gender) rather than on the merits (or lack therof) of the argument itself.
