And also the fact Bri Bri is not adopted, that's all bullshit whipped up to generate pity points with her followers (Because even if Wu was adopted, getting picked up by insanely wealthy people is, to quote LEGO Batman from the extended cut of his Orphan song; "kinda makes it better" when you're a rich orphan.)

But if Wu suddenly can't even contact their own legit parents in the most probable reasoning it's time to beg for more money as every other avenue has failed...well, constantly lying in public and on a self-inflated Wikipedia page that you are both a CIS FEMALE and NOT THE BIOLOGICAL CHILD OF YOUR ACTUAL PARENTS certainly doesn't make anybody want to acknowledge the truth in secret and hand more money over to somebody who does nothing but squander it all.

What makes it sadder is Wu burned the evidence of that adoption pity party bullshit.

I find it pathetic when a liar can't even stand by their own lies and burns evidence of them so blatantly in an age of archival tools being commonplace.

This person doesn't really seem like an lolcow, just kind of silly and annoying, like much of the GG stuff.

I'm curious, though: how many sales of his video game did he make? Did he make a return on investment?

Economic analysis is somewhere earlier in this thread, but Wu hasn't even broke even.

Brianna if your reading this I want to let you know I purchased Revolution 60 for reviewing and found it lacking. I did not think it was worth the 6 dollars I paid for it. As a feminist, I found the "strong female cast" both forced and insulting. The girls are all stereotypes of bitches (snarky bitch, sarchastic bitch, and just bitch), and the lack of dudes screams "I'm trying way to hard to make a 'feminist' game."

Wait, she's not adopted? (Forgive me for not hunting through all the thread to check back on this - cliffs notes?)

I still stand by the fact she was adopted because this is something she has been saying, consistently and unwaveringly, for years. Even before her big blow up when RichDad cut off her money flow and told her to stop being a perscription drug abusing psycho, she was telling people she was adopted.

Doesn't mean she was, mind you. But that's why I'm skeptical of any claims to the contrary.

Though I was also certain that three years worth of consistent online content made someone else here totally legit so my track record isn't the greatest...

I'm not sure but on the iOS the game itself is free and to unlock the full game it counts as an IAP so watch out for any figures talking about people who have downloaded or played the game or whatever. (When I saw the game on the store it had a bunch of people rate it 5/5 stars alongside a bunch of unrelated text where you normally have the review (One was taken from an Amazon review of a board game) so lots of shenanigans going on)

Man, I love these baseless assumptions that all kiwis have no lives and no careers.

For the record, Ms Wu, I too work in an industry that I am passionate about. However, where we differ is that I actually make money doing so.

Given the evidence that @zedkissed60 posted earlier that Brianna's birth parents are in fact her alleged adoptive parents (which, by the way, falls in line with Brianna's own statements about her parents from before she was Brianna Wu), and given the cross-posted evidence of both Rachel Dolezal and Andrea Smith, I'm willing to bet, dollars to donuts, that like most aspects of Wu's childhood and early life, and, like her claims of always being female, Wu is lying about those.

I'd be more willing to cut Brianna some slack if it weren't for the fact that we already know that she lies constantly. Whether it's constantly conflating debunked hoaxes as threats to her life, false-flagging her own game so she can claim GamerGate was attacking Revolution 60 on Steam, aggressively tone-policing GamerGhazi so she could delete users' posts on the rare occasion one of the members had an outbreak of common sense, and most notably, claiming to not be trans when we have irrefutable evidence that she is, there's just no way we can take any statement as to her own background and history as legitimate without fact-checking it extensively first.

She's a pathological liar. This is not a fact that's up for discussion.

I just realized that simply slapping a cel shader onto Revolution 60 might have improved it's look a lot.
(If I'm right, you're welcome.)

I'm actually almost entirely sure that this is why Revolution 60 doesn't use shader options often - that Brianna wanted to achieve a cel-shaded look, but, not knowing how to do that, went with the current design. Again, I don't think Revolution 60's design is as god-awful as everyone makes it out to be. Hell, I like aspects of Rev60's character designs, and I think Wu's an idiot for changing her character models for the sake of a market that never would have bought her game anyway. Say what you will about asset reuse and various other issues; her character models look like literally nothing else on the market these days, and in an era of flash-over-substance, that's kind of neat.

What I instead point to as incompetent design are literally everything else attached to it. Weak effects, laser effects that are literally overlays, no use of trailing effects whatsoever, and particle effects that make the game chug like @Smutley slamming Diamond Whites. Throw in the fact that the game has unpredictable frame-rate drops and spikes, and a profusion of inefficiently-modeled assets, and Revolution 60's visuals are a mess without talking about the character designs at all.

Brianna Wu and her supporters are cancer. Please don't take any actions that could possibly put us on their radar.

Hellblazer, I have nothing but respect for you as a moderator, but there is no way in hell that this sort of crap wasn't going to happen sooner or later with the swirling maelstrom of drama and idiocy that is Team Wu.

I will, however, promise to not directly contact anyone in the Brianna Wu camp, will not directly antagonize any of them, and I encourage all fellow Kiwis to do the same. Observe and Report is our creed, after all. We can have ample amusement just laughing at her antics, after all.
