Has anyone benchmarked how VR games work with hyperthreading? Its clear from that video that hyperthreading works in lower resolution at situations lower graphics quality but isnt that what VR is? Its 2 different 1080p videos being rendered so the graphics have to be toned down a bit.
I haven't seen much in the way of whether hyperthreading has much of an effect on VR. I know it's minimal at best (and sometimes actually detrimental) for regular gaming, but both VR-capable rigs of mine have i7's, so I don't have a comparison. It possibly helps when sending video both to the headset and a regular monitor at the same time, but I expect most of the heavy lifting for that is done by the GPU. What I can say is that I can get a steady 90fps on both the headset and 2 regular monitors concurrently.
You actually add your non Steam VR porn to your Steam games list?
Lol, no. But the program I use to view 3d video (regular movies too, not just porn) was acquired via Steam. Program name of Whirlygig. The way steam broadcasting works, it automatically shows whatever I'm watching in that program
