It's so the kickstand doesn't sink into the dirt and let the bike tip over. Even a little bike like a CBR600 weighs around 400lbs, so that is a lot of weight on a small area. When I'm headed out to the coast I carry a "puck" along to give my kickstand a little more surface area if I end up parking on a soft surface. Think of the trouble a woman has walking across grass in heels. Same situation, more expensive result.
In your opinion, since you obviously know what you're talking about, does the bike look like its gotten some use? Or is it impossible to tell?

I think this writer is even nuttier than Wu, and just making up crazy things for Wu to say.
I refuse to click on that link because Buzzfeed makes Gawker look good.

That picture... lmao

Read: There were no employees and Wu needed an excuse to just appear alone.

read: Wu is not important and nobody believes the narrative.

Read: Wu feels disrespected because the organizers of PAX East didn't contact her specifically and is moping.

Read: lol

The entire piece is a blast.
John, PAX doesn't give a shit. PAX is for GAME DEVELOPERS, not whiny """"harassed"""" e-beggars
It would have been a whole lot better if Papa Flynt had pulled out in the first place :alog:

Wow John, it looks like new - like you've never even ridden it before!

Yay, now John won't shit up PAX!:alog: (Always wanted to use that one)

Jokes aside, John knows he can't go to PAX because of two things:
1)Weens who will chant, "JOHN WALKER FLYNT!JOHN WALKER FLYNT!JOHN WALKER FLYNT!" wherever John goes and will boo him.
2) He has literally nothing to show. He's done dick-bupkis to the game besides "lighting" and miscellaneous shit that doesn't matter.

Also John, I'm surprised your motorcycle is so clean! It's like it's never been touched outside of random vanity photos.

Isn't this the first we've seen or heard about the motorcycle since he bought it?

Wu is really not popular in the social-justice-sphere.

I wonder if she realises her dickish attitude alienates everyone who should be her natural allies?

Ahh, you're gonna make me powerlevel? :)

That's not a really good photo for analyzing, so I can't say for certain, of course, but it doesn't appear so. For example, if you look at those stickers on the swingarm (the part that the back wheel is attached to), they look brand new. That area would naturally build up a lot of road dirt just from regular use. Now, they are generally designed to be able to take that kind of abuse, and would maintain their new-ish look if the bike were given a high level of upkeep.

The seat doesn't appear to have any wear at all, but again, that could be explained away by taking extremely good care of the bike.

The rubber on motorcycle tires is also softer than that on most car tires, and it wears out much faster. Sometimes to the order of 5x as fast as a car tire. Poor resolution photo to judge, but those tires barely look used.

One other thing is that riding a motorcycle, and especially a sport bike, is a contact sport. You will shift and rub certain areas of the bike, and there's no way around it. If you ride a lot (as I do), you will see slight but definitely visible wear areas in spots that you regularly brush up against while riding, especially around the seat and on the fairings where your legs will be likely to brush. I don't see any in that pic.

A lot of motorcycles are bought and only brought out on the occasional weekend. I've seen bikes for sale that were 3 years old and had less that 1K miles on them. At best, this is Wu's situation. By way of comparison, my current (and much nicer) bike is 10 months old and I'm about to click over 7k. A motorcycle is not an inexpensive hobby, and one that is used regularly will end up costing you as much or more than a car in upkeep (you will save a ton in gas and insurance costs though, to be fair). I take very good care of my bike, but it is obviously one that is used for riding rather than a show bike.

One last thing, if you notice, there are water drops on the bike (I assume it was drizzling when the pic was taken), but there is fresh dirt going around the front wheel. The bike was obviously rolled out to that spot for the pic to be taken. My guess is that Wu is a little behind on reading this thread and just got to the point where we had determined that she never had a motorcycle endorsement and possibly never owned the bike, so felt she had to prove it :)

TL;DR: No, it doesn't look as if it's been used at all. This could be explained by excellent upkeep, but nothing I've seen from Wu would make me believe that this is the case. Someone who can't be bothered to dust their figurine shelves before a promo pic isn't going to be on their hands and knees cleaning stickers on the bottom of their motorcycle.

Couldn't tell but are the vent spews still on the tires? Could mean she's either a puss and won't lean into her turns or of course she barely rides it.

I wasn't able to tell if they'd been worn off either, but there doesn't appear to be much if any wear on the tires at all

Plus he has Godzilla's facial expressions.
Actually that is far beyond the Godzilla-level. It's more like an eldritch being named 'Bria'Naw'U', the Old One who snarls and screeches shrill shrieks in it's own madness, emitting sounds that vaguely sound like "Meee! Meee! Meee!".

It would have been a whole lot better if Papa Flynt had pulled out in the first place :alog:

If John Flynt's presence is such a security hazard, they should probably send him a keep away letter and have him arrested if he trespasses.

I ha
It's likely a metal plate and it's to keep the bike from sinking into the ground under its own weight. Common when people park their precious bikes in dirt or gravel areas rather than in a proper garage.
I had to do that when I lived in Washington. The rent was fucking great but my poor bike sat in the rain everyday. It at least had a cover on

If you go to Flynt/Wu's Twitter account, you can zoom in on the image and see quite a bit of detail.

Aside from what you mentioned, a couple of other things also jumped out at me: the hand grip visible in the image shows zero wear, and the windscreen and front fairing don't have a single ding or scratch anywhere.

EDIT TO ADD: Thanks to @CervixHammer. An even closer look shows what appears to be dust on several areas of the bike.

Plus, watching video of Flynt/Wu simply trying to walk or move his arms makes me fairly confident that he's far too spastic to actually drive a motorcycle. And I have some doubt that his pencil neck would support the weight of a helmet.

There's no way he could lift that thing up if he had an accident and fell off either.

for all .3 of you who aren't aware of the :orig trick on twitter pictures, hires FlyntCycle here.

One more thing, and I realize that I may be really stretching here, but it doesn't look like there's a license plate on that bike. If you look at the hires pic, you can see grass through the lower hole which there should be a screw attaching the plate. Even if it were only attached from the top, you should be able to see the edge of it through the hole or along the side of the mount.
