Just FYI, this screen is simply output from what happens when you click on the build button in UE. There is no actual coding going on here, the engine is simply producing a platform specific binary. He is worried because its yellow text on a black screen, not because the information holds any meaning to him.

I actually tend to ignore most compiler warnings. If it builds, I'm pleased, but then again, I'm not developing something as ground breaking as R60, I mostly just work on financial and line of business stuff so what the fuck do I know.

What i do know is that there is zero chance Wu knows C++ to the extent that he could do anything substantial. C++ is possibly one of the most nuanced and unforgiving modern language. Unless you are in the shit day in and day out you are going to have a very bad time.

It's a once removed lovechild of Java and C++.

Given all the issues it had, Wu would have been better off using pure C++. It's pure assembly code, meaning as long as you don't fuck it up, it will compile with a very high success rate to almost any platform.

This is the default in UE4, which, given Wu's expertise, is something he will never be able to convert to, meaning he's stuck with his current abortion.

Right. My understanding is that in UE you have 2 options for adding your own logic. One is C++ and the other is, as you said, a script based system, which i believe even has a visual editor which looks like quartz composer or Max/MSP where you wire things together.

I like this as it comes back to Wu not really being interested in women's (or any) entrepreneurship conferences or how to do things like the plebs. She always has someone with money to throw at her asinine ideas. -- That's why she can't entice real investors, and I don't know if she really understands that.

She puts so much investment on pretending, and I just don't see the point. That and sometimes you can get paid to attend those conferences, but I guess doing a write up of experiences is too much for her. It's not glam.

After talking briefly with a dozen hick Social Justice Warrior wannabes at the third-tier regional college in Alabama, Flynt/Wu identifies several of them as "superstar women CS majors."

Bullshit.

(1) No one can identify someone's programming skills by talking.

(2) Flynt/Wu couldn't distinguish programming shit from programming Shinola by reading the code.

(3) Superstar women CS majors don't attend the University of North Alabama, which doesn't even offer a master's or a doctorate in CS -- no graduate programs at all in anything except education. If they couldn't get in at Alabama, they'd go to UA-Huntsville. (UNA is a truly crappy school. Its major claim to fame is that its undergraduates have a four-year graduation rate of 11 percent. And the average SAT of the student body is a laughable 1031 -- we're talking barely over 500 each in math and English. It doesn't attract "superstars" in any academic discipline. Of course, Flynt/Wu probably regards anyone who hasn't been expelled -- as he was -- as an intellectual superstar.)
