of course John thinks Social Autopsy is GamerGate. of course.
Wu's thought process:
"GAMERGATE KILLED MY DOG!! GAMERGATE DID SOCIAL AUTOPSY! GAMERGATE DID FUKUSHIMA! GAMERGATE! GAMEGAAAATE!!111!"
True professionalism at work. Smughearts and posturing about the importance of followers an added bonus.

Because followers determine how important you are in the world, apparently.

John may have 50k followers, but his tweets only get ~40 likes each post.
Methinks he's botted his followers..... Maybe that's why he hasn't applied for "Verified" status.

There is no way that Wu can keep tabs with every person who hate him using the twitter iOs client, he shitpost using his phone that is correct but everything else he must do it with a iOS client, i dont think he can keep with his "Blacklists" and mass reporting using the phone

He did not get the memo from Randwhale, oh right SHE HATES YOU

Bonus

John is broken guys we need to replace him, in the end she just bragged about how the guys has barely 89 followers you know because that is really important

Wow...just wow.

so I guess John and the Asspat Brigade ended their podcast just to start a new one which looks like the same shit with a different name:
shilling and whining.png

the only difference I can see is this seems to involve more shilling. at this rate, it'll only take a half-dozen more podcast titles for John to become the new Joe Rogan, except at least Joe Rogan puts most of his shilling at the beginning so you can fast forward through the first 10 minutes and get to the guest.

"Disruption Cast" John's continued belief that anyone falls for dumb Silicon Valley buzzwords like "disrupt" is quite entertaining. He thinks he sounds like Steve Jobs but he's the exact thing Silicon Valley(the show) makes fun of in this scene. Only the difference between him and those people is, for as douchy as they sound, they're at least making something that could have value to someone, somewhere.

Did she really just claim to be a public figure? That is monumentally stupid in mulitple ways.

I think Wu is feeling mighty insecure lately. More posturing involving follower counts, mansplaining allegation and reinforcing the harrassment tear-jerking.

There's a bit more in the replies.

Brianna Wu is also open minded when it comes to politics and DOES NOT, I repeat, DOES NOT favour Hillary! Totally neutral!

"sanctimonious rando" = John's epitaph

"Here lies a salty, crazy tranny scammer. He had an above-average number of Twitter followers. Twitter was briefly a thing. He was fond of NyQuil, Oreos, and lying. Keep crack-a-lackin."

It will be helpful when he sues someone for libel and suddenly claims that he's not a public figure after having presented himself as a prominent and influential one on an almost daily basis for years.

I think you may have hit on something here.

The number of likes and retweets that Flynt/Wu receives are vastly lower than you would expect for someone with more than 50,000 legitimate followers. Flynt/Wu has sent out 58,700 tweets, and has received only 70,600 likes. That's Frank and, from time to time, one other person liking each tweet. You'd expect Flynt/Wu to have millions of likes. In fact, if on average only 1 percent (505) of his followers liked each of his 58,700 tweets, he would be closing in on 30 million likes.

And look at the number of followers that @giantspaceket has -- 951.

I'd say the odds are pretty good that Flynt/Wu decided it would be a wise investment to buy about 50,000 followers with Frank's money. We need to find the day on which Flynt/Wu's Twitter following went from 137 to 50,137.

EDIT: Sorry for the double post.
I don't know how reliable the site is, but TwitterAudit gives Wu a 92% score.

As for finding the day that the followers increased massively, you wouldn't find that because bought followers follow the account gradually over time, so they avoid suspicion.

I wouldn't doubt Wu has bought followers, but what is also likely is that a lot of accounts were made just to follow her in the days that GG was, well, big-ish and never bothered unfollowing.

No matter what is true, most of the spacekatgal followers aren't real.

I would personally put money on this.

I would guess if you graphed Wu's followers lost/gained over time, that line is almost dead flat right now and has been for a while. But most of them probably aren't going anywhere.

He gained a lot during GG's heyday (getting mentioned via embedded tweet in way more places than he has any business being mentioned in will do that) but hasn't really remained engaged or relevant with nearly any of the casuals that probably make up most of his followers, meaning he's probably not getting more. But, so as long as he doesn't actively alienate them, they probably won't unfollow. The easiest way to get alienated seems to be interacting with Wu directly which almost none of the casuals do (mostly seems to be naive toadies, the occasional troll, and a few people looking for "vigorous discussion" who do that). Add to that interactions with people typically going in replies, not tweets which show up to followers, and casuals aren't likely to see his bad behavior because it's not sliding past on their feed. In conclusion I suspect the chances of the follower count decreasing rapidly are low barring a glorious category 10 chimpout that probably involves racial epithets spewed liberally.

92%? @zedkissed60 or @Jaimas can correct me here but I think that number is lower than the last time we checked on her about six months ago or so. It used to be 98%, I think.

SAFE SPACE? THRE'S NO SAFE SPACE FOR YOU, BROTHER!

I like Ninja Economics, but she's in for a world of pain fairly soon when the dangerhairs gather and begin screeching like hideous jungle birds...
