Wasn't he with Brianna pre-op? As in, Frank either bottomed or topped. I wonder what his ex-wife thinks about that. Also, his family? I know the house is from them, but....is he still on good terms? Does he take the-gums-and-ground-down-horse-teeth-he-calls-a-wife home for Christmas?
Also, to understand what Frank thinks he gets out of the whole deal, we have to understand what tier he thinks he bats in, so to speak. Was his ex a dog? Perhaps he thinks a thin (at first) pretty (from a photoshopped distance, if you drink enough everclear) tranny is better than an ugly cis woman. Perhaps he had a buried kink for the dick, or perhaps he had gay / bi relationships in his teen years.
To be honest, the transition of Flynt and Frank to the "cis" couple they are now, sexually and emotionally, is kinda fascinating, but its unlikely we'll ever be able to do more than hazard an educated guess.
Flynt said he had only been into girls, and that hormone therapy made him crave the dick. I dunno how accurate this is, but it seems as though Flynt is the dominant one in his relationship with Frank, which kinda makes his sob story about being mistreated by his last girlfriend less than compelling. I can't see Flynt taking a backseat in any relationship, hetero or homo....it's just not in his nature to shun the spotlight or the driver's seat. The whole life he's built with Frank has been a protracted process of getting frank to essentially abandon, shelve, or disregard his own interests, and focus on Flynt's.
Frank seems to be fairly passive, willing to essentially hold Wu's purse. Kinda like Jake "my last name don't matter" Rapp comes across in those e-begs; some guys just like to have a woman leading them around by their dick.
Actually, Frank and Wu is a bit more complicated, because Wu seems to have taken an almost fascistic leap forward in "my way or the highway" after transitioning, as if the dick chop made him much more dominant, although the stories of his belligerent awkwardness from college suggest it was perhaps always part of his personality, just waiting to "blossom".
As I said before, the "Brianna Wu" character was dangerous and detrimental to Flynt's psyche, because it allowed him to forcibly NOT learn from any of his mistakes, and the SJW victim culture lets him blame all of his social transgressions on the latest -ism du jour. In this sense, Frank is probably psychologically quite ultimately unhealthy for Flynt: I'm sure he pacifies him in the short term, but he also allows him to continue on a path with no consequences, giving him no-strings-attached money and enabling his worst tendencies.
If Frank ever gets sick of Flynt and kicks him aside....assuming Flynt doesn't find a rich tranny-loving white-knight cuck to pick up the pieces...expect reality to hit HARD. The lifestyle he has now: Getting up whenever he pleases, dilettante dabbling in serious social issues to make waves on the internet, buying gadgets and media to play for a day and then abandon....thats' not reality. That's not living like an adult. Flynt lives a life of casual, do-as-I-say fantasy. This is, for me at least, what makes his finger-wagging pedantry about how everyone else should live and think so aggravating.
But as
@Jaimas has said, such a thing can't continue forever. It's a rise to prominence based on lies and self-deceit, and sooner or later.....
...gravity.
