This trailer fails on other levels too: After looking at the trailer I have no idea what kind of story Rev 60 is going to be (granted, I have read the synopsis on the wiki and had no idea then either) all it tells you is "something-something-sci-fi-something-something-action". It doesn't introduce any characters, and you can only guess that Holiday might be the main protagonist...

If you mute the file, you see even more things wrong with this trailer, most of the scenes shown are people standing/walking and looking at each other. The rest is 'action', but you don't have the faintest idea what is going on.

It's like Wu lurked for a few hours on Apple Trailers and then tried to recreate a Trailer (complete with a poor mans Inception-fog-horn-sound-effect) without having any idea what a trailer needs to accomplish.
Its weird its like Holiday is the bad guy in most of it. She even puts that gun up to someones face.

I wonder what the tax situation is for paying yourself with sockpuppets.

It wouldnt be illegal just fucking stupid.
If shes paying herself with her own money then shes pretty much taxing what she already has. And if shes feeding it via patreon then shes loosing 10% of her own money in handling fees.

What would be illegal is if shes using money to pay staff that dont exist (Natalie).

I'm not sure this interview was posted back in August, but watching it in retrospect now is both entertaining and informative.

I mean, look at this thing. It actually looks worse than the iOS version.

It looks like something slapped together in an afternoon- hell, her pose hasn't even been altered to avoid the armor clipping through it's lower half. The meshes look like ass. Holiday doesn't look like she's in the same universe as the backdrop.

Sums up Rev60 fucking perfectly, though.

As someone who knows just a little bit about CGI, can you explain to me what you mean by "clipping through its lower half"? What specifically should I be looking at to notice that? (If I look at the whole thing too long my eyes bleed.)

Well the issue is if she isnt paying taxes on the money shes paying herself then it looks like she might be cheating.

How would that work exactly?

The bottom half of her chest piece completely goes through her lower body when she moves. Most competent game devs usually design their models so this can't happen, but In the 8 months she spent "tweaking" the game she felt that adding lens flare and hideous lights was a more productive use of time.

Yeah, and where is GSK's genius animator Amanda Warner in all this? Wouldn't she be the one handling all these animation and model "tweaks"?

Ive only really worked on Tax in the UK so not everything may apply 100% but based on what i understand on US tax law.

Patreon does not Tax donations. Your required to request Tax forms from patreon because its declareable taxable income. If Brianna and Frank are stupid enough to pay into there own patreon to make themselves look bigger than they are then they are taxing themselves on income already earned plus handing over 10% of their money as handling fees.
Ofcourse they could escape this by simply pulling the funding before the debits go out like trolls do.
Nothing about it is illegal just dumb.

Now if social media manager Natalie doesn't exist one of two things happen.
If Wu declares her as an employee for Tax purposes and files paperwork this is a crime because she doesnt exist and doesnt have a Tax ID (other than maybe briannas).
Ofcourse its more likely Wu never filed paperwork for Natalie since she kept the money for herself. Which is immoral but not totally illegal.
Maybe u could reclaim your money via small claims but patreon is basically a tip jar. They have no interest in enforcing how your money is spent.

Using patreon to pay yourself isnt a crime because unless you fail to declare it during tax season.
Even if Wu is a fucktard i doubt Frank would willing avoid taxes.

5 days old and only 27 views on the latest video. Sounds like this game is gonna be... Revolutionary.

Also on this video.... https://vimeo.com ... I dunno about the game's lore, but did Wu put an animoo of herself into the game at 20 seconds? It has a resemblance of when Wu was doing the whole goth thing.
Another flaw of this trailer is that it doesn't show any gameplay.
You go into buying this game without knowing if it'll be a 3rd person shooter, platformer, strategical game, etc.
You only know, "This game is sci-fi." and that could lead to a bunch of pissed off customers.
Megaman Legends 2.
A game from 2001, for the PS1 knew better than this!

What kind of gameplay can Brianna show, really? There is none.

Also, failing to declare income will not land you in jail. They just send you a bill based upon what they already know you have received. It's the act of not addressing that bill which ultimately lands you in trouble.

That's more of a problem of AAA gaming in general, most trailers of big-budget games focus on the "cinematic" elements of them, and the "gameplay" trailers barely have any gameplay at all, the only "gameplay" part of them is that they are (most of the time) taken directly from the console instead of pre-rendered, so John is just following what AAA devs do when they present their games.

I think Wu would be more concerned with the PR shit storm of tax fraud and creating the Natalie sob story.
Unless some kiwi manages to snag Frank and Briannas tax returns then its safe to assume that they may be full of shit but not actual criminals.

How can a trailer that was uploaded on a public site be "stolen"?

Especially since it's on her Vimeo. Called "Brianna Wu".

Christ she's retarted. EDIT: Lol she removed it. Plan this out, superior businesswoman. Showing a trailer is fucking important for marketing/advertisement and that has to be planned out. Don't post something if you are going to delete it.
