Ive always wondered if that Patreon could be used as some sort of charity or tax fraud. Especially since there are people who signed up for it. I think the best way is to alert the CPAs of Massachusetts or even reach out to the CPAs of every state and see where it goes from there. Washington state might be a good idea to contact because they brought a case against a guy who used kickstarter and couldnt deliver but that involved way more money. It was also a kickstarter which is a way different beast than Patreon.

We just need to keep pushing the John W Flynt angle as it's obvious to anyone that Rev 60 is a direct rip off of Socially Unconscious.
So Wu's either got to admit that
1. He is John W Flynt so the character are legally his to use.
2 Or admit that his precious baby Rev 60 is a rip off of someone else work.
Either one is a impossible thing to admit so I can't wait to see how Johnny-boy tries to lie his way out of this.

Yeah, Wu. Deadpool truely did treat it's women like crap. I mean, it's not like
one was going toe to toe with Colossus and winning, another saved Colossus from said woman, one was a pretty awesome old blind lady(disabled and POC, because that's so important to the group you align with, Wu) that didn't take any shit, and the other managed to escape from the main baddie in a pretty hardcore way and take Deadpool's sword and shish-kabobed said main baddie like a badass while saving Deadpool

I've been reading through this thread for a little while now, and I couldn't help but notice something. Wu exhibits many of the symptoms of Paranoid Schizophrenia.
Please note that I am not a psychologist, and I am not trying to make a diagnosis. I view this more as an interesting alternate angle to consider regarding Wu's behavior.
And also note that, even if Wu is a schizo, it doesn't change how I viewher his actions, as there are plenty of well-adjusted schizos out there. Some have even won the fucking nobel prize, so being a schizo is no excuse for acting like a Wu.
Of course, not all of the symptoms are a 100% match. One possible symptom, for example, is "disordered thinking and speech," and although she posts a lot of shit, I don't know if that would qualify.
(Maybe Election Eve would?)
Finally, given the nature of psychology, I'm aware that many of these symptoms could fit into a number other diagnoses, so it would be interesting to me to hear an actual psychologist's opinions on her behavior.

Even when most major figures seem to have put Gamergate behind them, Brianna is adamant that members of the movement are harassing her. Not only that, but for awhile, she was convinced that Gamergate posed a threat to her very life. At first, I was convinced the whole thing was merely a charade to earn pitybucks, and I'm sure there's still some element of that now. But the frequency and ferocity with which she still blames Gamergate for her supposed "abuse" is starting to come off as more insane than anything.
Furthermore, despite never producing anything at all, Brianna seems convinced that she is a major figure in the tech industry. And someone who has an authority in journalism despite not graduating. For a long time I thought these were manipulative tactics on her part, ways for her to con people into giving her money and fame. However, I am doubting this more and more, for even as everything is beginning to crumble around her, even as her narrative is starting to unravel, she refuses to jump ship. Any decent con-artist would have both been long gone by now, and, in addition, wouldn't have continued to draw so much attention to themselves.
I'm not trying to imply that Brianna Wu had no intention of taking people's money. But I think she honestly believed - and still continues to believe - that Rev 60 will be a thing someday. She never works on it, but I think she's just delusional enough to think that she will somehow finish it someday in spite of this fact.
To worsen the situation, various websites and figures within the industry and media have, for fear of being labeled "anti-feminist" or "anti-progressive," continued to feed her delusions. I'm not a psychologist, but if Wu does have some kind of issue, then feeding into the delusion is probably the worst possible thing anyone could do for her.
Wu isn't a woman of course, but most people think he is. From that angle, all those people who blindly support her are basically feeding into the delusions of - and therefore damaging - a woman. That thought is hilarious to me.

That could actually refer to a number of things. Not only did Wu go womyn mode, he also seems to have issues with a receding hairline recently. Of course, the latter isn't NECESSARILY his fault, unless he hasn't been taking hormones as was mentioned earlier in the thread.
Wu is frequently on Twitter, but I don't count that as a "social situation." In my mind, an important part of being in a social situation is that you can't just ignore and/or banish people you don't agree with.
Given how often Wu is on Twitter, I'd say she both doesn't sleep and doesn't concentrate on other things. Like her game.

Just to be gross here for a second, but due to her half-assedness with transitioning I do wonder if she even kept up with dilating.
I figured she might be bipolar or manic or a combo of something. And drugs. Wu has been to rehab for ambien abuse, and her latest stint with Nyquil was weird.

My understanding is that the income through patron is handled as standard 1099 income. This means it's fully taxed. If you are registered as a proper charity (e.g. USA 501(C)(3)) it might not be taxable. Also if you are doing it through a business, as with all business income, you can legally take deductions against business expenses.

I imagine she is operating within the law here -- at least to the same extent as most people in the situation where you are a high earning husband and set up a a otherwise unemployable housewife with an often money losing business like a cupcake shop or little clothing boutique just to get her involved in something and get her out of your hair. In this particular case, it backfired for two reasons: first, because Bri just sits around at home and creates drama thus complicating things for Frank, and also because Bri is in fact not actually a housewife at all but rather a MAN.

The thing I find most irritating is how nobody with any 'authority' to do so has grilled her on the multiple missed deadlines, one quite frequently. Can you imagine if the lead dev at a large REAL game company simply banned anyone on Twitter who asked how their new game was going?
The easiest way to cause a chimpout from Bri is to force her to look at the difference between her own career in reality and her head. She clearly sees herself as a very successful and influential individual, when in reality she is missing deadlines for her shitty game and her career is completely unimpressive and mediocre.
John W. Flynt may be a bigger story, but I think attacking the source of her current ego is a better way to cause her to melt down. She has divested all this energy to suppressing John Flynt information, and has left her defenses down on her claim to fame - her shitty career. Attack from that angle.

If you want to hammer Wu with something she can't escape from, nail her on Rev60's shitty optimization. Horrendous load times, framerates that are laughably unstable on bleeding-edge hardware (that scene where she jumps on the dropship is infamous for massive framerate drops), and the fact that the game hangs like a motherfucker whenever stuff gets too active. On Smutley's LP ALONE, on a modern iPad, the game was hilariously unstable.

Whenever the topic comes up Wu just argues "This is how valve does it" and you can't really argue with that. Games SHOULD be delayed until they're as good as possible. Wu's taking this to the extreme, but the only people that really have grounds to complain are the kickstarter backers, and they either don't care or have forgotten.
However the flip side is that you'd expect a game developed under Valve like standards and delayed this long should be a fantastic GOTY contender with no bugs or issues. When Rev60 comes out, that's the time to nail Wu on all the missed deadlines and ask "what were you actually doing all this time?".

I'm happy to be proven wrong (because I won't blame anyone for putting out a game, even if it's shit) but I really, really doubt that Wu will ever release Rev60 on Steam. The best thing might be that it gets put back on the Apple Store. Wu has nothing to gain and a great deal to lose from its release. That's assuming she's even capable of finishing the game at all, which, as others have said, is likely not the case.
While Rev60's still in development, Wu can claim a whole lot of shit. She can claim to be at the forefront of the gaming industry. She can claim to still need to hire women. She can make a whole lot of obnoxious and smug statements about game development, because she's currently in it. Once Rev60 can be officially declared finished, she won't have that any more, and people will recognize her as just another annoying amateur designer with a shitty product. If Rev60 is finished, Wu will have to move onto another game or risk becoming (more) irrelevant, which means either abandoning her Sonichu (unthinkable) or putting out a sequel, which everyone in the industry will just roll their eyes at.
Moreover, putting it out there on Steam will shatter her hugbox. It's not just going to be weens that spam her game with negative reviews, there'll be actual reviewers intrigued by the controversy trying to have a look. The success of Undertale has renewed interest in crowdfunded games. And they're going to find a dogshit game riddled with optimization errors and borderline plagiarism, and they'll tell their audience about it, an audience far larger than Wu's Twitter. She won't be able to dismiss real reviewers as Gamergate trolls. She'll reinvoke the wrath of SJWs for her skinny white woman fetish, and she'll certainly never be able to raise her zillion dollars for VR tech like she dreams of.
What happens if she doesn't put out the game? Nothing. The only real consequences might be from renegading on her crowdfunding promises, but I doubt it; that funding had nothing to do with the game and everything to do with GamerGate. Her supporters don't care if she produces a game or not.

DNF actually ran pretty well on older machines (by the time of it's release), it only ran like garbage on consoles because it was a quick porting job by a no-name studio.
