I can assure you that's the story for at good number of these "deradicalized" individuals. The others are either liars, grifters and/or easily swayed gullibles.

Personally, I would have wanted his miserable excuse of a career to end by someone who personally knows him (old high-school friend or classmate or perhaps even one of his parents) coming forward and revealing his "alt-right pipeline" vid, the one that launched his online career, is a complete pack of lies (and even better, that he was actually an extremely obnoxious, stereotypical SJW during his high-school years).

I find this kind of interesting though why is it so many people can embrace the same music even if its made to criticize something they themselves might stand for. On its face music is enjoyable regardless of what its lyrics might be about. Some people might even enjoy listening to Screw Driver and RAC for its sound and ignore the intended message of the music. There is a potency also to reappropriating the aesthetics and the art of the movements you oppose. Rammstein and Laibach are perfect examples of this in the way that they over identify with totalitarian imagery to offer mocking criticism or a fantasy version of extreme ideology. What's odd for me about establishment figures using anti-establishment music though is that they are the establishment and yet at the same time also like to identify with being the edgy outsider up against the other. It is a powerful narrative for anyone to identify with and it works for those following on the ground.
There was something Kurt Cobain said once also about establishment adoption of dissent that MTV loves nothing more than a protest against MTV. In other words criticism and protest are fully welcomed and embraced by those in power to neuter its effects or to sell it back to consumers. George W. Bush was once asked what do you think of all of these protests against the Iraq War. He said it's wonderful I want the people of Iraq to be free to protest also.

I haven't watched the video but I'm guessing he takes 20 minutes to say living in a capitalist system and acting like a capitalist is ok as a socialist. Same defense people gave philosophy troon.
